My school der choir girls just came back from Czech Republic yesterday and came back with 2 gold medals from the World Choir Competition! AHHHS.
This 2 medals makes Singapore proud as Singapore was the only Asian country tat participated in the comepetition! =D
If u al didn't watch the news, never mind. Can go xin.sg and find one. Youtube oso have. YAYS! My school rocks!

sam arh sam. u finally appear le. make me (& us) miss u like siao. I still rmb last week at this time we were still stucked at that small studio. lol! time flies. I can't believe my two weeks holidays is ending. Almost everyday have workshops or excursions. Tomorrow got two more - so have to leave home before dawn and return home after dusk.
Then immediately after school reopens, a string of tests will be coming. boo!

morning had woke up at 6am then left home to take 960 at 7.35am from Woodlands to National Library. Went there to learn how to appreciate exhibitions. Boo! It ended at 12.10pm so I hang around Bras Basah; then go to Kwan Yin Temple to pray at about 2pm. Then walked around Bugis Street and Bugis Junction...then at about 3.30pm took MRT to City Hall cos will be meeting ppl at 4.30pm. So before that i walked around Raffles City first before I thought i really should sit down.
Then meet those i suppose to meet le; we walked from Raffles City to Singapore Arts Museum. Then keep walking around to view the exhibition lor.
Went back at about 7.30pm? Still have to walk all the way from Singapore Arts Museum to Dhoby Gauht MRT station...-_-!
Uncle phil get it? haha. So I reached home at about 9pm. -_-!

Haiz, why nowadays all the kids really 吃不了苦？ A little bit more only, already complaint tired lah. Remember last time, when I am around your age, I can stay actives for at least 2-3 days & nights without sleeping. No joke man!

There is a story of this artist which imprinted in my mind so vividly for years. When I was only 8, I heard this story of the famous painter, Picasso.
What was so great about Picasso other than his passion to paint nude figures of women and infamous legend of being a casanova?
Picasso was the one who sparked the light of abtract arts. In his era, no one understand abtract arts, let alone accepting it as art. However, courageous and determine Picasso made his stand, believe in his art and continued painting in his own unique ways. After a decade or so, his art was finally accepted by the public and a new era of abtract arts started because of him.
I believe Picasso did not paint to please the audience; he painted the way he saw in his world and believe in what he saw. His belief also saw him as a famous painter in decades to come.
In the media industry, there are people doing commercial films/ movies while some do artistic films or theatre and plays. Those doing theatre and artistic short films are the low paying jobs as they cater to the minorities of the public. However, many continue doing it because they believe and enjoy their way of arts. Those who do commercial films however may they be rewarded in popularity, they may not find an identity in their art as they have to cater to the general public and some may find themselves helpless to whip out their creativities.
Moral of the story: We must believe in what we do, be flexible to learn but not to follow exactly in other footsteps. We must be humble in learning but the limit to humility is to respect and live out our perpectives. We must learn to pave the way with determination, courage and wisdom. If we believe that our art is different, we must prove it, fight it out, and make a difference. The route to achieve is not easy but we are tomorrow's Picasso. Do not let reality sets in and never believe in reality. Reality kills dream and creativity. Leap over the stones that people throw in our path. And we can soar like an eagle. ;P Romans 12:2

Actually I dun like the 3rd contestant in tonight's Sheng Siong Children Singing Contest. I feel that her voice are too course for a girl at her age. Luckily I am not the judge; if not she will not advance to next round! I prefer the 4th contestant. As for the 1st contestant, think she was the best for tonight contest.
Ya, I am also waiting eagerly for MLB's EP to be released. If the EP is release, then MLB can perform in the show.
So, next week Sam no longer be the judge. Nic shall take over izzit?
Oh, forget to wish all Fathers of MLB & MLBIans A Happy Fathers' Day.
I also don't have any more chance to celebrate Fathers' Day. :-(

Further away can go Hongkong or Taiwan, all under $1k. Countryside can go Australia Perth, Margrate River etc. For ancient explosure, Combodia, China, Egypt, Turkey etc.

The only thing you can do is to study harder for future tests or exams and do not repeat the same mistake again. Most important is: Have you tried & done your very best for this test/exam? Hopefully you still remember what I have told you before; your parents are so supportive with what you are doing and they love you so much. You better don't let them down!
Oh ya, this evening I am finally going to MLB Shifu's restaurant for dinner to celebrate one of my best fren's birthday. I recommend him this place, hopefully the prices will not be too high (hahaha). As for the quality of the food, I am very sure that we shall have a delicious dinner.
Of course not forgetting to take a closer look at weiqi's creative paintings on the wall.

To Sam: hahas. I oso feel like going on a holiday to Taiwan, wich is maybe made possible for my end of year holiday with my parents but i wanna go with frens, of course under adults' accompany. hahas. The furthest i went is Austria. :D

Thanks for all the info, maybe I will try that baked cheese creamy chicken rice. But beside that, are there anything things likes: pork-chop, chicken-cutlet, fich & chips etc? How are the prices?
The furthest I have travelled I also don't know, is it South Africa (Capetown) or US (Washington-Charlottesville). But both trips I also don't get to enjoy much. Because South Africa for army training, we only visited capetown for half a day while another we visited a wine factory. Then US was for a meeting for a new project. This trip was even worst, only there for a night. The time I spent on the plane are much longer than on the ground. Then that time have snippers shooting at people (forget what issue already). Perhaps someone can tell me which is further?
If I don't count the above 2 destinations, then the furthest I have travelled is Bangladesh, follow by Hongkong & Macau, Thailand, Indonesia & fianlly Malaysia.
I wish to go Australia, Korea, Japan & Taiwan. But do not have any budget at present! Hahaha...

Taiwan? Hee hee, anyone needs a tour guide there? Hahaha, think I can be qualified as a tour guide there liao since I've been there for quite a number of times. This yr might be the first yr I'm not going there, the first time for the past 5,6 yrs! hmm... really miss the food there... but better save $ for another long trip end of the yr.
qing qing, the things there not very ex, I love to go there shopping as their clothings and shoes are cheap and styles very up to date. Food very yummy, esp those selling on the street. Mostly they speak Mandarin there, but if you a bit of hokkien will help too. In Taipei its very easy to travel around as it has MTR there. But for the rest of the country, either get someone to drive you around or book cab. I want to try the new train from Gaoxiong to taipei leh, heard it can go as fast as 300km/hr.
qing qing, i went taiwan a lot of times cos I got friends there and I used to work for a Taiwanese company which I had to fly there for training n seminar etc. I had tour around it for a couple of times but haven't go Kenting and the other islands yet. I heard their are beautiful, highly recommended by colleagues and friends. Maybe will go there next year when my younger cousin finishes her A level, I promised to backpack taiwan with her. Very paiseh to say that I spent most of my earning on travelling. :p Travelling is in my blood... But its really shiok to travel around, you get to see a lot of things. Do before you are still able to walk and run freely.

Backpacking means travel without going through agency or tour guide. Backpackers mostly plan their own route, stay at cheap hotels or hostel, take trains, buses etc as backpackings mainly are under tight budget. It is called backpacking as backpackers travel with just a backpack. If you see those foreigners at beach rd or bugis with a big backpack behind, mostly they are backpackers. There are many backpacker hostels at beach rd which 1 bed costs about $20 per night. They can have up to 8 beds per room, have to share room with strangers. So you have to be gung-ho enough to backpack.
hmm...travelling where to go? this is my list of places to go:
1. heard Redang in Msia has nice clear waters. wanna go dere someday to see for myself.
2. trekking in Lombok, indonesia. my fren went there b4, u can trek rit up to the volcano crater. scary but shld be exhilarating!
3. attend a rock concert overseas
4. florida usa, once the harry potter castle in universal studios is ready (hope i got the state rit!)
Gian? nowadays i not so gian 4 travelling cos mus hv good travelling kaki den fun. seems to hv some plans in the air, not sure if they will materialise... maybe..hope so :)

Wow, talking about travelling, it has been more than 3yrs since I last took a flight. Hopefully I have extra budget to travel again by year end! But I personally don't like backpacking trip, cos I don't feel easy sharing a same room with strangers.
Nobody help me to my question, which place is further from Singapore; South Africa(Capetown) or US(Washington-Charlottesville)?
