8 DAYS: Is there an interesting story about how you guys met?
NIC: Not really, we've all been friends for a long time, almost 20 years, 'cos we go to the same church. But we lost touch for a while 'cos i stopped going - i became lazy and jus wanted to sleep in on Sundays.
WEIQI: We didnt talk for a few years, so Sam and i decided to use the Superband competition to connect with Nic again.
Your band name means both iced Milo in Hokkien and lost soldiers in Mandarin. have you guys ever been lost metaphorically?
WEIQI: We've all been lost in our own ways. i screwed up my 'A' Levels and i couldnt get into NTU or NUS, so i decided to build up my portfolio and i finally managed to get into NTU. (he's in the School of Art, Design and Media.)
NIC: A few years ago, i was a real lost child. When i was 16 to 18, all i did was club and get high. it get so bad i ended up in the Reformative Training Center. i realised i needed to find myself and do something i really believe in, which was music. i managed to get a diploma in audio engineering after that. The turning point came when i figured what i needed to do and not break my parents' hearts anymore. No one wants to see their parents crying all the time.
SAM: I didnt have any concrete plans after my army stint. Thankfully, we joined the competition and got the chance to come out with an album.
