All the BEST to you in whatever you do. Must try to enjoy yourself even you are on training so that you won't feel so "Siong". It will becomes your history and chit-chat topics after you ORD when you guys get to meet together.
Anyway, nowadays the life in army has improve alot. You'll have better food and attires. Its not so horrible or scary to be in army! Don't worry too much. Just need to take extra care of yourself during training.

BARRE - A man caught in a dairy barn just before midnight in late May was not only violating the boundaries of the farmer’s property, but he admitted to police that he was there sexually molesting the cows.
On May 29 Viens was caught in the barn of the Scribner Farm on River Road in Moretown when a farm employee, who had noticed Viens vehicle parked near the farm, went around to the back of the barn and caught Viens in there.
Employees at the farm had suspected Viens of trespassing on the farm and knew he had a history of sexually abusing cows, according to court documents.
Viens was convicted of the same charge in 2000.
According to court documents, Viens had been trespassing and that Vien’s presence there made farm employees uncomfortable."

happy to see familiar faces here. so sian these few weeks. seems like every other day hv crisis at work. I feel like a fireman, fighting fire everyday. super yucky feeling, hope this phase passes soon. I wanna trade my fireman uniform for some office clothes pls. though i really hate to wear prim n proper office wear, it's definitely better than the fireman overalls anytime!

hi dolphin & all, me went to the parade.
Was lucky to be at our Country's historic b/dae celebration at Marina Bay - held on a floating platform. Last time I attended one was at the Kallang Studium, many yrs ago. At de M/bay, was there b4 2.30pm, de queques to get in were already quite long - Not 1-q but many qs. Lucky to be able to get a gd seat. De afn sun kept pouring heat on us, so hot, I felt like a salted fish being dried in the sun.
At 4.40pm entertainment started - with de Electrifying Free Style Motor Cross(FMX) Stunt Show - Presented by Dunwell Intl. 4 professional stunt riders wow de public with a combination of suspense, thrill n dangerous stunts - flying up in de air n down.
In the evening, after de sun set. everywhere u can c rainbow colors of dazzling lights,sprays of fire sprouting everywehre -at Sea, Sky, People(wearing colorful animals' type caps, with blinking eyes)n swaying lighted, blinking stars-shaped sticks n flags. Thousands of ppl screaming to the prompting of the DJs. Dancing, Singing n bands playing.
Up in the sky,lighted octupus balloons floating around.
'Sea' segment performances - like real sea world - Giant jellyfish 'bob' above de water, with fishes, corals underwater, but actually - above ground -..
Marching by diff contigents, President, Parachutes Jumpers, F-16 fighter jets roaring pass, followed by the Apache attack helicopers - all at so close range, wow!!!
The best part of cos it the explosive FIREWORKS.. Wow! rite in front to where I was sitting- Beautiful, colorful, Spectacular.
It was real fun to be in the midst of the actions. When the gunshots goes out, everybody jumped n laughed, cos was so loud n sudden.
Anticlimate is the gg home part..everywhere so packed, worst than sardines, so difficult to move n hv to walk long distance to get to a packed mrt.. aiyo.
Hi all, surprise to see me?? haha, sorry, have been very, very, very busy for the past few mths, and I have been unofficially changed to 7 working days instead of 5, so my office is like my 2nd home already (ρ_-)o I spent more time in my office then at home. Everyday just wake to go to work and go back home just to sleep (+_+)....a bit sad lah...this kinda life...has been thinking of leaving but sometime don't really even have the time to do my job hunting...sound pretty bad rite?? ~~~~>_<~~~~ anyway, sorry to appear after such a long time just to come here and pour my sorrows :Þ

wonder if that phrase came from a common hippo friend.... my tots r both r difficult to do. to leave 1st needs courage cos u need to convince ureself dat wat u r going to leave behind is worthless enough to be left behind. den to be left behind oso needs courage to hang on n see things thru, cos it doesnt feel good to be the one left behind. but hopefully in the process of being left behind, u hv made the effort to try to find out wat's the problem n fix it. If hv tried, and the other party still choose to leave, den at least you know u hv made the effort.
in any relationship if it comes to a stage where i feel uncomfortable being w the other party, i will most likely choose to leave 1st. but i do like dolphin's counter phrase, stay or leave whenever u like!

today no story abt bro but hv a story abt a beautiful songbird. accompanied my mu qin da ren to tsai chin's concert tonite and the mellow-voiced songbird managed to make me cry during her last 3 songs!! boohoo, her vocals is just so touching, especially when she sings those songs which shows off her low husky voice. tears started to glisten in her eyes when she sang the song called zui hou yi ye (i think, it is definitely called zui hou something) and the moment was so poignant, i dunno why, tears started to fall from my eyes too. then she started to sing hai ou (i just luv this oldie fr the 70's), wah, then my floodgate just cldnt stop, dunno why so moved by her voice. the auntie next to me somemore peek at me to confirm if i am crying. so malu, but just cldnt stop my flood & my mu qin da ren completely oblivious cos she was lost in the songbird's song. then last song qia si ni de wen rou came on, the songbird finally smiled & thankfully, my tears stopped flowing. never had such an experience before, i sincerely wish her well and hope she will never stop performing live which is her passion.
and the songbird said something very inspiring to the mostly greyhaired audience, she said never be ashamed of being old, cos they have already contributed to the society, and encouraged everyone to continue to listen to the songs of their time cos they contain all our precious memories of our journey in life. apparently the msg got thru to my mu qin da ren cos she asked me for tsai chin's cd so she cld listen to it. i hope i will remember her advice & do that when i grow old too.

chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed.
At 9 P.M. he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without

Some yrs bck, my old neighbour, also had a bad fall, while gg to the loo at night.. broke her bones.. n later died..

IS EASY TO SAY BUT DIFFICULT TO DO
"A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage.

And the organisation is so complex to understand...I'm not even sure which part of the group i'm standing at...the article about my company employees blurring the line between work and play...its 120% true!!!

A v sad husband turned towards the wife, hugged her and just whispered - 'I am with you Darling'.

was attending a funeral svc on friday nite..& witnessed frictions betw taoist rituals n christianity..when family members belong to diff religions..haiz, seen so many times already..
Single - unmarried mum .. met the 31yr old(looked v young n v pretty) .. in a bus, while on my way to Downtown East, on Sat nite..
Pregnant & abandoned by her bf.. was asked to abort by him.. in desperation, she consulted her mum who advised her not to take away a life.. but to carry on with the pregnancy.. her cute baby girl is nw 8mths & she is determined to give her girl a gd life... but she said, is tough..luckiy she has a wonderful supportive mum to help out..

During the celebration, Boss says he supports work-life balance. But I have heard that he is planning a weekend dept retreat...Isn't Weekend meant for spending time with your Family & Friends? Hmmm...
this year crazy abt exotic flavour mooncake. went round trying & buying mooncakes which are the non-traditional kind. i esp love the snow skin ones. last time dun know how to eat mooncake, only know how to eat the eggyolk! now at least i've tried it out, know how to eat the mooncake w or w/o eggyolk! :P otherwise all the mooncake in my hse are w/o yolk, cos i alrdy dig them out to eat....hee oohhhh...saw the round moon last nite, though not w family, it's still beautiful though a kind of chilly beautiful.
duckling, sometimes we dunno we contradict ourselves till others point out to us. it's the curse inflicted on humans. v mao dun, though we sometimes honestly dun intend to be like that.
work-life balance? My company is famous for that, there even a newspaper article on this not long ago. We can go on leave without going thru formal application, work from home etc... but due to peer pressure, ppl here bring their work along when they are holidaying...hope I won't go into this kind of stage. but can really see that they are promoting work-life balance. Bowling competition 2 weeks ago, walkaton 1 month ago and we are having another sport day next month. But all on sat morning... hahaha
I'm back after a long long MIA kinda of thingy... hmmm... my company is also into work-life balance... but then we don't go into the extend that can go leave without formal application coz from the zheng fu... =) but i heard that some companies, their staff can have some kinda flexi working hours... but guess it's depends on ur boss...

Something to share. just got this from my colleague cos i jumped at her on something recently. After reading, i realise she is trying to tell me that i am a BIG garbage truck esp at work. I am a long way off from mastering the law of a garbage truck, hope i can do it one of these days!
Beware of Garbage Trucks

How often do you let other people's nonsense change your mood? Do you let a bad driver, rude waiter, curt boss, or an insensitive colleague ruin
your day? Unless you're a robot, you are bound to blow your top off.
However, the mark of a sucessful person is how quickly he or she can get back his or her focus on what's important.
Sixteen years ago, I learned this lesson. I learn it in the back of a
New York City taxi cab. Here's what happen.
I hopped in a taxi, and we took off for Grand Central Station. We were driving in the right lane when, all of a sudden, a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car's back end by just inches!
The driver of the other car, the guy who almost caused a big accident, whipped his head around and he started yelling bad words at us.
My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean he was
really friendly. So, I said, 'Why did you do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
And this is when my taxi driver told me what I now called, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'.
Many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of fustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their
garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it. If they happen to dump it on you, don't take it personally.
You just smile, wave, wish them well, and moved on. You'll be happier if you did that rather than fight them.
So this was it: 'The Law of the Garbage Truck'.
I started thinking, how often do I let garbage trucks run right over me?
And how often do I take their garbage and spread it to other people: at work, at home, on the street? It was that day I said, 'I'm not going to do
it anymore.' I see garbage trucks everywhere and everyday. I see the
load they're carrying. I see them coming to drop it off. And like my taxi driver, I don't make it a personal thing; I just smile, wave, wish them well, and I move on.
Good leaders know they have to be ready for their next meeting. Good
parents know they have to welcome their kids home from school with hugs and kisses. Teachers and parents know that they have to be fully present and at their best for the people they care about.
The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. What about you? What would happen in your life, starting today, if you let more garbage trucks pass you by?
Here's my bet. You'll be happier.
So...love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe that every thing happens for a reason.
If you get a chance, TAKE IT!
If it changes your life, LET IT!

Life here is so tense n stressful.. so we need to learn how to relax n the proper way to let go of these garbage..
yesterday, at Ch5, there is an interesting forum abt "Human Beings being processed by Spirits".. & how these Priests drive away the spirits..& also some ppl can c spirits n some can't..(3rd eyes).. too bad, i only heard the ending part..
are they really being processed or psychological problems?.. well it depends on the priests n psychologists..
the ppl who mde up the forum were..a psychologist, a Taoist priest, a Cathoic priest, a Hindu priest & also fm other religions..
some yrs bck..i recalled ..an incident where out of a sudden, one nite..3 members of a family of 5.. suddently became mad or is it being processed? .. at the same time..there were plenty of shouting n waving abt...police came n they were put in the mental hosp.. strangely a few mths later the father n mom were cured, but the elder son took a few yrs to recover.. then went sailing for some yrs.. came bck home.. a mth later .. i heard a v loud tug..look out of the window.. saw him lying flat on the ground... in a pool of blood.. he jumped fm his 12flr window.. he had no friends n was feeeling v lonely & depressed agn.. a young life gone forever..
another incident..also some yrs bck..i went to a hosp to visit someone.. i passed by a bed.. where a pretty teenager was lying, both hands ,tied to the the bed frames.. her eyes, glaring into space.. to the hosp ppl.. she became mad.. but her big bro said she was being processed by a violent spirit.. who is rite?
