Flew 13 hrs to get here lucky on business class or else I am dead duck by the time I arrive.
More travelings soon n I will be station in Shanghai for 1/2 year until 2008. Hope to catch Olympic 2008 in Beijing.

hi npwruss, happy wandering..

the 3 hippos seems to be struggling with wk, NS n studying... all the Best to them..

Klang/Selangor - thats where i spend my last Sunday.. still a sleepy, slow moving, old fashion town.. nothing much, except enjoyed their famous bak kut teh..

cya!

Anonymous Anonymous | 13 October, 2007 01:04

hmm.... where should I start.
Like nico, getting emotion nowadays...new job very challenging...maybe too challenging for me already. A mistake or one comment from someone can make me depressed for the whole week. I'm trying hard, and i believe that I'm better than some of my peers, but why I'm not getting the satisfaction that I'm yearning for? still trying to pedal as hard as I could, to keep alive, to keep afloat.

hi waving to all.. enjoy yr wkend..

hi dolphin & the 4 legged one if u r around...sometimes, i feel this way too.. certain times just simply feeling v emo n sensitive for days...guess tis is Life.. is just normal part of growing up .. our v own interesting story books..

life is like the weather/4 seasons or like the sea.. can be calm/beautiful, v high some days & other days stormy .. & tis emo feelings can effect Self & others around us.. we can feel 'loss' or a little '[depress' at times..

Working in a big, unfamiliar environment, needs time to adjust..esp if yr superior is the 'cat' type..

- Be kind to yrself..
- Remember to take care of yr own needs"..

Weekends is a gd time to practice self-soothing. Do some small things for yourself that give you comfort and provide a mental "mini vacation." ..Forget abt wk n ppl u cannot connect..
Throw all Negative 'Qi' away into the sea.. keep anly the "POSITIVE QI"

Simply, just do something u enjoy doing..

PAMPER YRSELF..
DON'T LET PPL U CANNOT CONNECT DESTROY YR INNER PEACE..
At least hv some Peace during the weekends...

Let yr Soul, Mind & Body relax for a while.. u deserve the Mini Holiday..

sori, is lou soh.. i am also talking to myself..

thanks birdie for the comforting words. hmm...dolphin at least u r trying hard, good for u! i sorta just floating with the tide, see where it brings me. very passive attitude, must learn to be more proactive like all the young ones... create my own destiny. change topic to a less depressing one. hey have u heard your mr zhou's new song? cos I think u will hv a good laugh to destress when u hear it :D he has gone bonkers! the opening of the song v gila cowboy tune but the chorus is very catchy though as usual can't hear wat he is singing abt. i know he is being cheeky but then think he has gone a bit too far with the joke. B4 the launch of his new album, he shld seriously consider to record a new zhen jing version to complement dat ki siao version. As long as he change or tone down the opening of the song, dat song will be a breakthrough for him! so far i like his mafia image album the best. the tunes very drama and has a kind of ba qi. though dunno wat he is singing abt,i jus love the melody.
talking abt him, must talk abt his old love, jolin. oh i love her 72 bian album the best. all the ones after cant really match that, though my comment may not be fair cos i hv not bought her latest 2 albums:p enough crap for one day...see if i can wind down & sleep now...nitey folks

Anonymous Anonymous | 14 October, 2007 12:26

Hi all, have been VERY busy...

Hi, eeyore, congrats! Keep it up! :)

Haiz...why so many emo people feeling these few days?? including me :(

So, was a bit siao yesterday when I saw the bois. hahaha... sorry, if i scared the ppl around me ;p

Glad to see Salmon and know that she's okay :)

Jay...can't wait for his new album..like the chorus of the new cow boy song :)

Here is the link to the 第一波主打《牛仔很忙》完整电台版 with lyrics. Thanks, dolphin for the lead :)
http://cn.jaycn.com/dispbbs.asp?boardid=66&ID=772348&replyID=772348

Jolin...I love her 72 bian album too. It's ONE album tt i listen to when i'm feeling down or restless...but in the ablum, there are also a couple of songs that i love but make me cry :'( so, will skip them when when i'm down ;p

*Looking at the time now* Sorry, dolphin, I'll be late again :p

Anonymous Anonymous | 14 October, 2007 23:25

Hey birdie, thanks for those smoothing words. I'm lot more better now, as long as i get far away from my Mr No Joke manager. And these 2 days gigs from the hippos really rasie the mood up up up.

Mr Chou Mr Chou, hehe... yah, some ppl think that he bonker... but I think he really make ppl turn heads again this time. I really laugh at this song. Well... can't really say he go too far this time... he is Master Jay, and he really got this confident that he can rule e world.

Jolin? I like her 72 too, mu fav catchy song...Mr Q!!! cos the MV lead realy Q. Edison!!!

uh-oh, jus realised i very 大胆, anyhow criticize Master Jay's new baby when i dun even hv 1 miserable composition in my name:p sorry, MrQ is not one of my favourite songs from Jo. Is it too sexy or too cute? can't recall now, dunno why all the meis meis like to sing this song for competition. So far none of her songs make me cry. 1st song & hopefully last song to make me cry...再见.

Anonymous Anonymous | 18 October, 2007 20:22

hey all...
I watch e gan ban mv and guess what...there is no me. hahaha.., i very good in siaming the camera. Thinking hor, if few yrs down the rd...if e hippos going to flip back all the old photos or videos, they might even can't find one with me in it. :D

Jolin ah... actually my fav song is dao dai. Its by Jay too... but I like this song before knowing that its from him.
Talking about songs that made me cry, there are a few... like "Butterfly Kisses", "Runaway Train" and the recent one is by SHE Elle's Qiang Qiang... made me think of my "boy boy" chihwahwa...*sobs*

Anonymous Anonymous | 20 October, 2007 02:00

dolphin, suggest u don't siam lor.. so yrs later..at least the hippos still can remember the 1st batch of fans like u & others.. who had voted hard n stand-by them all the yrs.. don't give them the chance to forget how u look like haha~ ..

Came across tis funny conversations~

This could happen to you!

Quote:-

"I was barely sitting down on the toilet when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
"Hi, how are you?"

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom. I don't know what got into me, but I answered, somewhat embarrassed,
"Doin' just fine!"

And the other person says:
"So what are you up to?"

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
"Uhhh, I'm like you, just sitting here."

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question:
"Can I come over?"

Ok, this question is just too weird for me. I figured I could politely end the conversation. I say:
"No........I'm a little busy right now!!!"

Then I hear the person say, nervously:
"Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions!!"

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 October, 2007 00:00

hi cuties, sharing tis quotes with whoever interested...

~Hold on to your Dreams~

Without it, there is no Life

"Don't lose your way with each passing day

You've come so far, don't throw it away

Live believing - dreams are for weaving

Wonders are waiting to start

Live your story - Faith, Hope and Glory

Hold to the truth in your heart"

If you hold on

Know that your dreams will never die.

Dreams see you through to forever,

Where clouds roll by,

For you~~~

Anonymous Anonymous | 23 October, 2007 21:32

oh, didnt know hv lyrics in the link. haha funny lyrics. like this line.副歌不长你们有几个 一起上好了.
vaguely know how the song butterfly kisses sound like but can't rem lyrics. didnt know it was a sad song. runaway train lagi worse.later go search for the song.
QQ, nice song. i very hard-hearted never ever cry wn family pets go away...
dolphin, u can remedy the situation by sending the hippos a nice pic of yourself with them ;) haha force them to remember you!
birdie, i always overhear loud conversations in toilet but luckily so far hv not committed that blunder yet!

Anonymous Anonymous | 24 October, 2007 01:14

Hey hey Garfield, Butterfly Kisses is not a sad song, its about a daddy who see how his daughter grows up and at last getting married... its a very touching song. its like listening to how a father relates his story. i listened to it with the story pictures in mind.
As for Run Away Train... its a sad song.
"Runaway train never going back
wrong way on a one way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
somehow I'm neither here nor there"
Its a super sad song... especially when you felt lost and tired.

Hmm... and for the photo... I'm totally not photogenic, so heh heh, just remember me in person I very happy liao. :D

Birdie, which part of malaysia are you going?

Once I went to the pantry for a cup of milo. There were this 4 ladies from another dept talking abt andy lau. 5 mins later, my teamate went to the pantry too, the 4 ladies changed topic to Andy Hui... another 5 mins later, another teamate went pass pantry... they had already changed to some HK actors. hahaha...office gossip in pantry.

Anonymous Anonymous | 25 October, 2007 20:45

Found the lyrics for both songs. lucky my impression is rit, BK is such a sweeeet song! yep, the lyrics really evoke moving pictures in the mind. Alamak, actually I know the song RT, just didnt know the song title. My deepest impression of the song is the 1st 2 lines of the refrain "runaway train never going back, wrong way on a one way track...", i tot it's meant to say bu chi hui tou cao, so didnt realise it's such a sad song until now. when u are lost & tired, better dont listen to it, later feel worse!
i need to think of happy songs now. er...but my mind is a blank! let me search my brain for happy songs (sure hope i know of some!) then come back another time...ByEeee 4 now!

Macau's Venetian is nice...super big room, bigger than a 3 rm flat. Wow. Will show you guys the pic when I finished resting. haha. Went casino hopping, visited 7 casinos in 2 days. Din really play in all , mostly just look around and glare at those glitering $$ and lights. One conclusion... the casino opened by ang mo is much better than those chinese one.

Jay...sobs...din manage to get the 18th tix. Gotta try the black market now. haiz... but 1 pair for $1000... siao.

Anonymous Anonymous | 08 November, 2007 01:38

Anonymous Anonymous | 08 November, 2007 01:47

haha~ ia an Amusing whole life story.. but is true..

GOD'S CREATIONS

God created a donkey and said to him.
"You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly from sunrise to sunset
carrying burdens on your back. You will eat grass,
you will have no intelligence and you will live 50 years."
The donkey answered:
"I will be a donkey, but to live 50 years is much. Give me only 20 years"
God granted his wish
God created the dog and said to him:
"You will guard the house of man. You will be his best Friend.
You will eat the scraps that he gives you and you will live 30 years.
You will be a dog. "
The dog answered:
"Sir, to live 30 years is too much, give me only 15 years.
" God granted his wish

God created the monkey
and said to him:
"You will be a monkey. You will swing from branch to branch doing tricks.
You will be amusing and you will live
20 years. "
The monkey answered:
"To live 20 years is too much, give me only 10 years."
God granted his wish

Finally God created man
and said to him:
"You will be man, the only rational creature on the face of the earth.
You will use your intelligence to become master over all the animals.
You will dominate the world and you will live 20 years
responded:
"Sir, I will be a man but to live only
20 years is very little,
give me the 30 years that the donkey refused,
the 15 years that the dog did not want and
the 10 years the monkey refused.
" God granted man's wish And since then, man lives
20 years as a man , marries and spends
30 years like a donkey,
working and carrying all the burdens on his back.

Then when his children are grown,
he lives 15 years like a dog taking care of the house
and eating whatever is given to him,

so that when he is old,
he can retire and live 10 years like a monkey,
going from house to house and from one son or
daughter to another doing tricks to amuse his grandchildren..

Happy living Man!

Anonymous Anonymous | 14 November, 2007 00:51

Hey hey yoz yoz cuties animals.
Just got back from another concert. Long time never so high already. Sore throat + aching arms. When was the last time I was so high??

Linkin Park ROX!!
The drummer is cute. :DDD

Anonymous Anonymous | 16 November, 2007 00:40

wow dolphin so u were one of the 11,000 people who caught Linkin Park in SG. mayb nico was dere as well? still cant believe they really came to our tiny island for a concert cos they are really BIG.
m gonna catch MCR. Jus luv their song, I Dun Love U. v shiok to listen to the drums in dat song, esp near the end. Welcome to the Black Parade's also wonderful! song starts w the keyboard, then the marching band beat comes in. My my, just so heavenly. however, some people may not like them cos their lyrics are quite dark. Looking forward to see them in action. Whoopie!
Tmrw's Friday! Enjoy the weekend, folks.

Anonymous Anonymous | 16 November, 2007 23:41

Haha garfield, its not the first time Linkin Park is here for concert. I went for their first one 2 yrs ago too. That one also super high, at Padang. Not only high, hot and humid too. Haha, but concert under the moonlight, quite special. At linkin park concert, an angmo was distributing pamphlets for MCR concert. Already quite broke this month, can't go for another concert, else they should be not bad too.

Din see nico there, but saw another guy from another band. Vic from lucy. :D

Anonymous Anonymous | 17 November, 2007 13:55

Hello! how's all the cuties getting on?. Me having a bad cough + bad throat for wks already, really draining me of my energy.

Quote - "Purge your soul of the toxins of regret and resentment and embrace greater joy and peace"- - well, I am trying hard .. hope u can too..

Gd luck & A Happy wkend all. cua.

Anonymous Anonymous | 19 November, 2007 01:40

what word looks upside down n is the same?

Anonymous Anonymous | 19 November, 2007 23:45

lol.. i think guys playing drums are very seh. :P hahaha years ago my fren intro linkin park to me. the songs are nice when u wan to jump and scream, but after a while get like so tensed up. haha

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 November, 2007 02:16

i am such a mountain tortoise, didnt know it's their 2nd concert here. hee, quite obvious i am not really a fan. come to think of it, actually i am not a fan of MCR or any bands in fact (eh except for this one here :P), just happen to like the songs in their current cd. does that mean i am more of a universal fan or a fan-for-a-moment? eee...yucks! the truth always hurts....haha.
vic spotted instead! hmmm...how come nowadays no hippo sightings anywhere, looks like this is the hibernation period of the hippos living here. at least we'll hv more noise from another hippo from end nov onwards.
oh no, birdie, sounds no good. personally i find it quite difficult to recover from bad throat. Other than cough suppressant, cant really recommend anything else. But i find those cough syrup fr dr. usually wks better than those from the pharmacy esp if it's a very bad dry cough. Was recommended one good remedy for a good night's sleep. Drink a cup of honey 1-2 hrs before u want to sleep. So far, it wked for me. Unfortunately, drank it ard 8pm n i was sleepy at 9pm oredi. Too early for me so i had to resist the sleep monster!!...haha. Think u need a good night's rest. Try it. Hope having adequate rest will help w ure cough as well. Take care all! Nitey.

below... Humour for u to destress..

'Women and Men Elements'

"Two NEW Chemical Elements have recently been discovered. Here for the first time is a description of their properties.

Element Name: WOMAN

Symbol: WO

Atomic Weight: (don't even go there!)

Physical Properties: Generally round in form. Boils at nothing and may freeze any time. Melts whenever treated properly. Very bitter if not used well.

Chemical properties: Very active. Highly unstable. Possesses strong affinity to gold, silver, platinum, and precious stones. Violent when left alone. Able to absorb great amounts of exotic food. Turns slightly green when placed next to a better specimen.

Usage: Highly Ornamental. An extremely good Catalyst for dispersion of wealth. Probably the most powerful income reducing agent known.

Caution: Highly Explosive in inexperienced hands.

-----------

Element Name: MAN

Symbol: XY

Atomic Weight: (180 +/- 50)

Physical properties: Solid at room temperature, but gets bent out of shape easily. Fairly Dense and sometimes Flaky. Difficult to find a Pure Sample. Due to Rust, Aging samples are unable to conduct electricity as easily as young samples.

Chemical properties: Attempts to bond with WO any chance it can get. Also tends to form strong bonds with itself. Becomes explosive when mixed with Kd (Element: Child) for prolonged period of time.

Usage: None known. Possibly good methane source. Good samples are able to produce large quantities on command.

Enjoy!

Hello back to you!
This year's xmas like pretty quiet, orchard is not as crowded, no queues yet for the gift wrapping counter and it's like nearly mid Dec already.v weird phenomenon. Maybe as usual there will be a last min rush for xmas shopping next week or hv singaporeans finally learnt from past experience? or maybe half of spore is holidaying overseas?
hmm...another strange phenomenon...why is dolphin stranded on dry land? everyday rain, water every where, by right the rain should be able to save the stranded dolphin and wash you back into spore river or you prefer sentosa? :p

Anonymous Anonymous | 12 December, 2007 23:43

birdie, good joke! agree mostly for woman esp the atomic weight part & the physical properties :D but then some amendments should be made to...
1) turns an UGLY shade of green when placed next to a better specimen.
2) since the symbol for man is XY, then the symbol for woman should be XX to signify the chromosomes for women.
As for the man part, don't understand them so i dont quite get most parts of its physical ppts except for the part on difficult to find a pure sample! :P

Anonymous Anonymous | 14 December, 2007 14:43

Lalala... its weekend. Finally cleared up some work, so I can don't need to work OT on weekend liao. Can concentrate on my 2 assignments..hmm.. thats good or bad?

Christmas coming, haven't done my christmas shopping yet... what to buy? Any shopping place on great sales now??

Anonymous Anonymous | 14 December, 2007 23:57

Heello! back for another visit. these few days a bit off centre, very chirpy. haha, esp today cos I found another way to irritate my brother! just play Chinese songs when he is driving and it really drives him crazy!!! can practically see him squirm in the driver's seat when the CHinese songs play & he cldn't even park strgt when jay's song was playing. Shuang! ahahaa. just hope this mood lasts!
dolphin at sea, can concentrate on assignmt over wkend is good. not bitten by the xmas bug, hvnt been to much xmas shopping yet. but the cool falling snow here is getting me more in the mood. seems like there is sales everywhere but dunno great or not :p

Anonymous Anonymous | 15 December, 2007 01:09

How I love weekend, means I can sleep as late as i like. I'm not really a morning animal, I don't sleep in the night...I sleep on the bus every morning. Actually going to work is faster by taking MRT and transfer bus. But I would purposely take a long distance bus journey, just to sleepzzz....

Hey garfield, what song does your brother listen to? I don't really listen to Jay on the road too. Haha... my fav music on the road went missing, else it will be forever on my car's cd player. BAD second album, 半个海洋.

Anonymous Anonymous | 19 December, 2007 02:32

me too, so not a morning person. i m like a bear in the morning, better dun talk to me b4 i hv my morning coffee or else...my brother is an old man who listens to class 95 and get this even gold 90.5!! he says chinese music makes him go crazy, tink it's too high pitch 4 him.:p this guy got an F9 for chinese, no wonder the lang makes him crazy. the cd he plays are really old old songs, like longer by the dan guy who jus passed away. he likes soothing music to calm himself while driving, no headbanging songs for him.
i m counting down to jay's concert too! mr sunshine concert...must think n think...

Anonymous Anonymous | 20 December, 2007 01:12

hey cuties..

me too is a nite owl, sleepyhead in the early morning..

creamy, sori me got no interest in guang liang.. any takers?

the joke - actually u can put 'xx' or 'wo' or any fun words to describe women.. as for 'xy' can even use 'ego' etc..

woman can interepret man in any fun way she wants.. but main pts can be..

Highly concentrated deposits at all sporting events, horse racings and pubs.

Extremely low quantities can be found in any location where CLEANING UP is required.

At room temperature they are ok, but boils when inconvenienced. Melts if treated like a God. Difficult to find a Pure sample. Can cause headaches.. so handle with caution.

Specimens can be found in various states ranging from deeply sensitive to extremely thick skinned
Becomes stubborn and unyielding when pressure is applied; yields only when tricks or flattery are applied.

Requires certain quantities of substances known as attention, or mothering.
Will usually avoid changing diapers for their kids & may becomes explosive when looking after kids for prolonged period of time.

The old specimens will not be able to perform as well as the young.

Attempts to bond with WO any chance it can get. But, useful in situations when strength is required.. ha! something like that la..

THE BEGINNING OF LIFE

At a Round-table Discussion , the Group was asked the question 'At what point does life begin.'

The Chinese Expert spoke 1st and said "At conception, of course!".

The Western Expert said "No, no, it's certainly begins at birth".

The Parental Expert, leaned forward to the mike and spoke softly ..

"All of my friends here are wrong. Life begins when the last child leaves home, and the dog they left behind dies!!!".

What is yr Verdict?

how come I felt bit sad about leaving 2007?
what did I accomplish in 2007?
what did I miss?
what did I feel sorry of?
what did I leave behind?

juz felt something is not done in 2007.

Hello Akians, I am trying again. My long tag got eaten up hope this one makes it.

Birdie Ayi, Dolphine Jie and all others (cannot remember)forgive me K!

Good to be back but tons of things to do, people I want to see, people who want to see me, dinners, lunches, parties, hols etc. I am running out of time. Got 'scolded' for not coming to see old friends but I really forget how to come here and there.

Looks like you all are doing well. I got one more year to go, den will proceed back to do NS and den go back to further study. Dad is retiring n our family will move to Canada to be with my grandparents and uncles. I hope to do forensic and still hv not changed my mind. That's all the news abt me.

I may not make it here again so I thought I shld try one more time to leave my 'paw' print.

Well wishes for 2008 and you all have FUN and take good care.

Anonymous Anonymous | 30 December, 2007 01:52

2 more days left n 2007 will become another history chapter. I think it is always sad to leave something behind or when something depart, be it gd or bad. This is human emotion, our weakness.

Looking bck, 2007 has not been a gd yr for me. I asked myself too, what did I achieved? -a bagful of ??.

So hope 2008 can be a better tomorrow for me, hippos & all cuties.

happy new year's eve's eve...

Anonymous Anonymous | 31 December, 2007 02:03

NOw my turn...
how was my 2007?
i hv learnt many things in 2007, somehow felt my life has changed since sb. god knows why?
maybe it came at a time wn there were changes in my wklife. learnt to relax more, love music more, with a more switch-off job, finally found time to learn things i hv always wanted to learn but hv forgotten my wish along the way.
Definitely there are bad things as well but really, all these good things that happened overshadow the bad ones.
After a year of so-called rest,am thinking maybe i am now ready to go back to a less switch-off wklife. Will i lose something as a result? i think definitely something's gonna be traded. not sure if it is what i really want but let's see if the road will take me there. For 2008, i just wish i will always rem to take time to smell the jasmine flowers (they really smell heavenly! hmm...mus ask mum if can grow some), look up at the sky, breathe in fresh morning air (IF i ever wake up early), feel the sun on my skin, feel alive, be happy & learn to be less selfish to my family members.
Since this is already new year's eve, let me wish all the animals here a better and fruitful year ahead!

Anonymous Anonymous | 31 December, 2007 11:01

An early Happy New Year!
2007 has been eventful; up and down moments. Well, that's what life is about.
I am hopeful for yr 2008, but well that's will demand my efforts to make my hopes workable. Let's jiayou, if you have hopes, you gonna do it to make them happen.

AULD LANG SYNE

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne?
Chorus:
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
And surely ye'll be your pint-stowp!
And surely I'll be mine!
And we'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
We twa hae run about the braes
And pou'd the gowans fine.
We've wandered mony a weary foot,
Sin' auld lang syne.
We twa hae sported i' the burn,
From morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roared
Sin' auld lang syne.
And ther's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll tak' a right good willie-waught,,
For auld lang syne.

Meaning -

Auld lang syne - times gone by
be - pay for
braes - hills
braid - broad
burn - stream
dine - dinner time
fiere - friend
fit - foot
gowans - daisies
guid-willie waught - goodwill drink
monie - many
morning sun - noon
paidl't - paddled
pint-stowp - pint tankard
pou'd - pulled
twa - two

bi.. see u all nxt year~

Few more hours and we have to say goodbye to 2007.

2007...should I say it has been a pretty good year for me? I've achieved somethings, but I have also lost somethings. I have learnt somethings, but I've also discover that there are more things I need to learn.

Looking forward to a better 2008.

Here's wishing all a great year ahead!

Had a good countdown celebration at the CSC (somewhr in the north-east). Approx. 300 pple were gathered there. My gf decided to pamper us by chauffering all of us with her dashing yellow 2-door BMW (borrowed fr her bro. hees). When we saw the car, we were all "Wow!". Another gf teased "Aiyo, what a chiongster car!", we burst out laughing.

The celebration began with songs, I was impressed by the band, the electric guit was so good.

The countdown began with reflections, contritions, forgiveness...it was quite an emotional moment...When it striked 12am...Wow! we all high-five to greet one another.

New year's msg:

Do you celebrate the new year countdown?
Ans: Yes

If you celebrate, it means that you have hopes for the new year.
And how will your hopes happen?
Ans: It means you have to reflect on your past so as to re-direct your life journey...

Are you serious when you said "Happy Blessed New Year!"?
Ans: Yes

If you are serious ahout "Happy New Year", what call from you?
Ans: You will really take your hopes seriously, and you seriously change your weaknesses and be a better you.

In short, take stock regulary...

After 2am, my gf decided to chauffer each of us home. First time for me to experience the "speeding" on the road, and I could hear the engine "vroom vroom"...

Later, my gf bro called, said that he needed to collect something from my gf. We waited somewhr for him to catch up. The gals were wondering, what kind of "chiongster" car her bro would be driving...

When he arrived, we were like "Woo!"...We saw a dashing man got down from his handsome white Ferrari...All the gals were like ga ga over...not sure on the handsome man or the handsome car...

We had a good laugh! Trust all have a good start of the year.

I was enticed by this song, heard it twice on radio, but didn't catch the title.

I find the lyrics beautiful, can someone tell me the song title? If I'm not wrong, this song is by Jay Chou right? Correct me if I'm wrong...thanks.

Ferraris...usually see flaming red ones and bright yellow ones on the roads, hvnt seen a white one yet...v rare. Shld be v handsome! the sound a ferrari makes when it whizzes by is beautiful & all i can do is to smell its smoke...haha. nowadays the young punks dunno how come they hv so much money to buy the hot cars. but den ferrari too flashy, good for a spin only. let's go for a alfa (jus to smell the italian leather seats and sporty steering wheel) or audi (classy!) instead. wahaa, dat's wat car dreams are made of in SG...dreams only.
oh dat song caught my attention too. find the singing not bad. tink the title is either 最为动听 or 最动听 but always cant catch who is the singer. nowadays i find the chinese names of the new up & coming singers v difficult to rem and also hard to differentiate who sang wat song even though i may like the song.

Anonymous Anonymous | 05 January, 2008 02:28

Recently heard a song on the radio, tot the band was from UK. Later discovered it is a local band, Class 'A' Love Affair 2007 by great spy experiment. Quite psychedelic, gonna spin u round and round!
Still so awake...go listen to more songs...nitey folks.

Anonymous Anonymous | 05 January, 2008 10:44

Hees. I dunno much abt cars, but tt Ferrari is dashing. We teased our gf tt her bro deals with drugs...THAT'S WHY HE HAS 7 CARS IN HIS HOUSE!!!

I got that song! It will surprise you as it had surprised me!!! Enjoy the MV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGdDAjz0unk

I found out:!!
> Jaycee Chan is the singer. Oh Man! He sounds so Jay Chou!!!
> Jaycee can write songs. He wrote the music & lyrics!!! AND ITS SO NICE!!
> Jaycee is talented. The MV is directed by him!!!

Anonymous Anonymous | 05 January, 2008 17:25

who's jaycee chan?? nv heard of such a name...

haix.. school re-opened..

Anonymous Anonymous | 07 January, 2008 01:47

hi all, times really flies, 2008 is already 1week old.. hope it will be a great year for every1..

hi eeyore, Jaycee Chan is the prince of the rich & famous Hkg actor Jackie Chan .. his beautiful mum, Lin Fong Jiao was once a popular Taiwanese actress..

J.C is said to be a young man with many talents..is an actor, singer, composer, lyricist, and guitarist n plays the piano..

he is cool!

Anonymous Anonymous | 07 January, 2008 21:33

omg, sung by him! the voice definitely dun match the face. oops, sorry mr jaycee... just didnt expect you to have such a gentle voice. hey someone's mr sunshine concert is cancelled, so sorry to hear dat. i like some of his songs but not dat crazy abt him.
MDC serious abt having sb 2008?
maybe they are inspired after reading life's report on increased sales of guit in SG :p hope more good bands turn up, not like the LTD....enuff said...

Anonymous Anonymous | 08 January, 2008 10:48

Yoz..I was shocked to hear mr sunshine's concert is cancelled..didn't know the reason though...hope mr sunshine is well. Mr sunshine is 创作型 talent, not the cute boy lookie type, but he sings well in live (that day the autograph signing event, he sang pretty well, can reach the high keys effortlessly). I like his humour too, so I think he will deliver a good showmanship for his concert..too bad...

Nico got cute face and blooming opportunities for song-writing are in stored. I like his rendition of "Lu", feel that he finally has found his niche, his vocal stands out from that song. Has seen a step of progress...

Ya, agree mr jaycee has such a gentle voice...charismatic too...迷人的歌声.

hello cuties!

dolphin not late la, the new year, still New! hee..

haha! if u hv to choose -

handsome man? beautiful cars? or wealth?

Well!i rec'd tis -

" Don't go for looks: they can deceive,
Don't go for wealth: even that fades away.
Go for someone who makes you SMILE.
Because it takes only a Smile to
Make a dark day seem bright.
Find the one that makes yr heart Smile."

Anonymous Anonymous | 13 January, 2008 23:11

Hmm...handsome man, beautiful cars, or wealth?
Beautiful cr is totally out. Cos my theory is:

Wealth: You can buy beautiful cars and handsome men from it. hee hee...

Handsome man? No $$ nevermind, clever woman can use handsome to earn $$. You get what i mean?

My dream is to build another Johnny production empire!!!

Can I put that as a new year resolution??

Anonymous Anonymous | 17 January, 2008 01:46

Which Johnny production you referring to? is it the japanese variety show or ??
suddenly this week No time to think of jay, anyway dun wanna hv too high expectations but the audience & atmosphere was really great at his last concert here, wonder if he can top that. when he sat & played on the pink grand piano, then later on the drums...my god...jiak lat...better dun drool...haha. frankly i cant tell his old songs apart, i only know they are his songs and the songs i can differentiate best are his china wind (literal translation) songs.

hmm....long time since i shared something here. nothing inspirational, share with you all some food i hv been craving for recently...cranberry!
i see it as an ingredient for quite a lot of foodstuff nowadays, which is great as i like the taste of sour cranberries:
1. cranberry & orange biscuits from marks & spencers
=> yummy bites!

2. cranberry orange walnut cake (not sure if i got the rest of ingredients right but def hv cranberry!) from cedele but not every branch has this
=> great for sweet tooths

3. ham w cranberry & walnut bread sandwich (or something like dat... didnt pay attn to the details) from starbucks
=> quite a different tasting sandwich to try out.

die, bedtime still write about food. nevermind quickly go to bed...sleep never fails to kill the hunger pangs :P Goodnight everyone!

Johnny production? It is the most famous and successful artists management company in Japan. The boss name is Johnny. Famous artists: Smap, Kinki Kids, V6, Katun etc. And what so special about this company? All artists are male... and the oldest is Smap, youngest in Johnny Junior is less than 10. All come with a pretty face and groom to be in a boyband. And there is rumour saying that that Johnny... is a gay and have a liking for young pretty boys... hee hee hee

Cranberries? Zombie with Ode to the Family!!!

less than 24hrs to go. Yeah!

Anonymous Anonymous | 18 January, 2008 01:38

oh...now u jog my memory. sorta heard before that the boybands in JP are groomed from young. so it is by this guy called johnny. last time there is this late nite jap variety prog on tv, used to be amazed how these young boys get to be discovered and groomed for stardom. oso pretty amazing how the sets change so dramatically from one performer to another. too bad nowadays abs nilch on JP productions on telly.
not bad, can have a dolphin production house in SG. Ure 1st boyband can be the hippos. make them sing covers for the 1st album, hit the charts with the familiar hits revamped in hippo style. once the audience is enamoured with them, hit them w a 2nd album w their own creations amongst others. wala! always wanted to ask the hippos, do they wanna be a boyband or a band who is serious abt music-making? if they choose the latter, gotta take heart that it is a much more difficult road ahead. methinks may need to establish themselves as a boyband 1st before slowly evolving to what they want. wonder how a certain degree band w so little musical talent can be so hot now. heard dem sing live b4, never fails to make me wonder if their fans are blinded by the pretty faces that they become tone deaf. support talent, people! dunno why today so critical, pls bear with my nonsense, esp fans of dat degree band.
hee dat cranberries not my fave.
countdown, countdown!

countdown! countdown! yipee!
in these days, so many want to write music, but only lil compos r impressive...some r really amateurish...But some really have great talent in music-making...even peers in the same industry asks for their compos...
Jay - his music r unique, has his own sense of style
JJ - he makes nice melody
David Tao - R&B king
Lee Hom - charismatic
F.I.R - love their energy, songs r well done!
林宇中- up and coming song writer, he is starting to write cantonese songs now!
Sly - local talent, his compos r nice...爱情搏拚,洗望, 所以...
Another up can coming local talent should watch out is JONATHAN LEONG! Looking forward for his chinese album and his compos. Chinese album? haha..Jon's diction has been improved tremendously...
Clap Clap!
notice that there aren't many female song writers...hmm??

Anonymous Anonymous | 18 January, 2008 17:45

Michael Wong (guang liang) - 情歌王子,the king of ballad compos.

for now, wait him to come again to promote on d movie... (^^)v

Anonymous Anonymous | 20 January, 2008 21:41

Splendid performance! Agree that those who had been to both nites' had the best.
Need to say sorry to duckling, dolphin & friends for waiting for me, sorry for being late and keep you pple anxiously waiting =P
Felt like I was being pampered with surprises thru'out the whole concert: fireworks, exclusive videos, suave dance moves... Was especially enchanted when Jay serenaded the audiences with his 自弹自唱 ballads, fell in love with his acoustic 彩虹.
Meanwhile, hv to start catching up his old collections, and watching out for the upcoming movie Kung Fu Dunk. =P

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 January, 2008 09:00

High, High, High! Great concerts!
Really enjoyed myself. Never been so crazy before. Looking forward to his next concert.

Thank you, flamingo, for convincing me to go for both concerts. Great experience watching the concerts from different angles :)
Thank you, dolphin, flamingo, angie and friends for the company. I would not have enjoyed the concerts as much without you! :D

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 January, 2008 11:18

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 January, 2008 14:25

duckling, nxt time when he comes again, let's go all nites too! but of course i wont buy d most ex tkts.. but will oso not buy d cheapest liao... d atmosphere dwnstairs is better.

still hang over... really wanted to see him perform again... hope d concert dvd will b out soon!

din hear tat there will there b celebration for weiqi... but those gg to d beatbox competition tink will b giving him presents ba..

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 January, 2008 15:36

btw, tdy's my paper hv a pg on d concert... tink today paper will oso hv... i din flip yet.

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 January, 2008 20:30

Looks like i am the last to check in. So tired aft his concert, never screamed so much in my life. Thoroughly enjoyed myself though there were many breaks thru out the concert. This year he sure didnt disappoint, played the piano (transparent grand piano this yr!), guitar, drums plus qin. He looked so cool when he played the piano duel with the nanquanmama guy. i still prefer the cd version of rainbow compared to the acoustic variation he played. This yr, the deepest impression i had was that he was actually v happy on stage, esp when his granny came on stage to dance. Dat was my favourite moment. :)

Anonymous Anonymous | 21 January, 2008 20:38

heard soda's songs before. they def hv their own unique indie band style. hv not listened to their new album yet but i like their wu yu lun bi de mei li. nice song, better than the previous album's xiao qing ge.

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 09:26

Yes, flamingo, let's go his concerts again! The atmosphere dwnstairs is definately better. You must give it a try :)

Mr J's reaction during "夜曲" was so cute and funi! It's a pity I din videoed it. I was standing right in front of him!

Here's the article in ytd's My Paper...with vodcast (i hvn't watch)
http://www.omy.sg/showbiz/enews/200801/20080121_004_jay.html

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 09:56

Sounds like the atmosphere on the 1st nite was "higher"..arghh!!
Flamingo, dwnstairs definitely can grab some priviledges, u may got a chance to get UP CLOSE wif J. *wink*
When he came down to offer hand shake, his face was really "Ya Ya" lo, but who cares! Everyone wants a hand shake!
Still can't get over J..and he came to my dream last nite...

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 11:17

ya, i read d news abt his awkwardness when d dancers dance ard him... haha... so cute...

so did anyone get to touch him when he came dwn?

doggy, tat's his diao-ness.. not ya ya... his usu pattern... i like it!

on 2nd nite i screamed when he threw dwn d walking stick! dolphin, u missed a chance to get it. if he threw on fri, u hv hv gotten it huh...

i shall go omy to watch articles on d concert! woo-hoo!

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 11:22

oh ya... ytd 933 got played d song fm his latest movie.. did any1 catch tat?

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 11:48

Saw in some articles that that section supposed to be pole-dancing but was changed...

Flamingo, I know that was his "brand" lo. Watched some of his interviews on youtube, seemed like he cld get a bit turn off when the fans got too "over-passionate"...so next time see him mus be moderate so that he wld get near you. Hees.

Flamingo, I think I'm lucky, I got to touch his hand 3 times! Fyi, he has no sweaty fingers but the flesh is tender and fleshy at the tip, no long nails though.

That's y I got hooked by the "electric current"!

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 12:57

wah argh~~~ so lucky! u managed to squeezed thru d crowd ah!

i wish someday he can come here for an aotograph session... he oni came when he's nt so famous... after tat din come liao...

thks duckling, i juz watched d podcast on omy...

act on both nites, i din realised tat d 2 fm 南拳妈妈 played guitar for d opening song leh... my eyes were focused on J so din c them. ;p

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 13:56

flamingo, we were very lucky to get VVIP tickets (Thank you, dolphin!!!). In fact, there was a barricade right after our row of seats. So, the side aisle was not so crowded. During the encore, Doggy & I were hanging on to the barricade in front of the stage! :D But I was among other "very passionate" fans, so din get to touch him :( Doggy, thanks for the tips. Next time i know what to do liao ;p

南拳妈妈...I nd more time to know them better.heehee..

Just to share - other celebraties we saw on Sat were (not that their presence matters tt nite ;p)-Asia Idol Hardy, Spore Idol Taufik & Jonathan, PSS Diya & Carrie Yeo, and Mr & Mrs Mark Lee. [No sight of hippos - their presence does matter]

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 14:27

Wahaha! Thanks dolphin for the ticket. Muz oso thanks duckling for the pre-emption that Mr J wld come down the stage to shake hands. So, I managed to "standby" for that "crucial" moment.

Ya duckling, the gal besides u was screaming like crazy, I think that scared Mr J from getting near your side. (She scared me too)!

Aiyo, let's find ways to get premier tickets to his Kung Fu Dunk movie, so that we cld jio Mr J. to go and Lau Yu Sheng with us to pre-celebrate CNY =P

Yup, saw Jon, Hady and Taufik. Hady was the "high" man!

Anonymous Anonymous | 22 January, 2008 14:37

oic... jay's charm is simply irresistible huh... attracted so many to go watch... dunno if hippos went on fri nt leh...

saw on nat ho's blog tat he went on fri leh... dolphin, din spot him ah?

heard when he come to promote d movie, he'll oni stay for 14 hrs leh... dolphin, got lobang to find out which flight he'll b taking nt? i wanna go airport to welcome him!!!

Anonymous Anonymous | 23 January, 2008 00:59

Hahaha this blog is becoming Mr Jay's blog already ah? Sorry hippos, please forgive the jiejies here, we are just too excited over the whole thing.

Heh heh, next time I wanna charge my tickets higher liao, esp to those who managed to shake his hand or touch him. Argh!!! Tried so hard to squeeze to the front still no chance. :( My colleague also managed to shake his hand and he was sitting at the side loh!!! And I was right in the middle, at the front of the stage, yet didnt even "touch" him! Next time must go all way out to get VVIP tickets again. And both nights, esp the sat night, thats what I call a concert. Scream and stand all night, shiok! And 2nd row view really too good to be true...

But frankly speaking, I still prefer the last concert in 2004. More special effects and i'm very very much closer to him the whole night. Hahaha...

Anonymous Anonymous | 23 January, 2008 10:02

Nat went on fri, rw26. Diya & Carrie were in front of dolphin? Haha..I didn't notice at all.

I heard J's new song zhou tai xia. Personally, I like the music arrangement very much, especially the bass, it's a bit of rock & roll, very diff from his past works.

I'm hounding my frens in the advertising to get tickets, but chances are slim.

Sorry hippos, pardon us for the J'mania here.

Anonymous Anonymous | 23 January, 2008 23:58

hahaha... object of lust... our object too...

ya, i heard he's coming fm KL... let's check out wat flight & d timing...

arggh...why promo with crocodile, if with lacoste at least hv some ladies stuff, can splurge on their bags.
ok ok, promise...my last words on his concert, he's so cute when the la mei were all over him, he actually went into that pose of ermmmm soccer players when they are standing in front of another player making a free kick. it was so funny and he was standing just right in my line of vision when he did that. ok, ok, i know mus maintain image here :P

Anonymous Anonymous | 28 January, 2008 09:15

Anonymous Anonymous | 29 January, 2008 21:00

If I say that I never heard lu b4, will it be too guo fen? Well... really, I'm not listening to the radio at all... But really surprise to know it is up the chart. Maybe I should go download and listen to it.

Anonymous Anonymous | 30 January, 2008 00:14

yep flamingo, its a super cute song. i admit i m biased, if it's not by jay, i may not like it as much.
some of the contests are not for premiere tics, only for preview. anyway since it is free tic, can try if int.
the new edition of my paper not bad, can learn some cheem chinese terms from there. but some of the terms dunno translate correctly or not, the meaning sounds a bit diff from the English term. unfortunately, my chinese not powerful enough to determine if i m right.
dolphin, guofen or not, not up to us to det. if never watch telly or listen to radio, the only way is to stream it from this website.

Anonymous Anonymous | 30 January, 2008 10:14

hey hey, I really kowtow to Jay's talent. I got to hear the full version of that song, noticed that there is a mix of tambourine and gu zhen. Ya, the elevator part is very creative. Well done!

Ya, can try for the preview tics instead. I'm surprised to know that some close friends ard me oso went to J's concert, haha some were so near me, yet so far...

Oh btw, I heard from radio that J will be going to Bugis Sq at 6.30pm this Sunday for the movie promo. Haha fun!

Anonymous Anonymous | 31 January, 2008 00:00

i've cast my vote for 路! shall listen to d results on sun!

haa.. dolphin... ya if u din watch d drama/ listen to radio, nt surprise tat u din hear d song... it's a nice song, so do check it out!

i oso like d 插曲... anyone knows d title?

i took part in watever contest i can join.. haa.. ya, some i saw is win tkts to d movie premiere not on sun, but on mon de. nvm lah... as i wanna watch, so if can win free tkts, better...

Anonymous Anonymous | 31 January, 2008 08:27

the title of the other song is 舍不得. Nice song too :)

Great drama, but dun like the abrupt ending. Although Mediacorp explained tt it's due to time constrain, I think the drama and production team do not deserve the "cuts".

Anonymous Anonymous | 31 January, 2008 16:28

oh~~~u noe wad? last sun i went bugis sq and saw them set up some stuff for the kung fu dunk thingy alr and i tot he's coming down.then i think again like he's cant be coming singapore so soon..but made me excited laa. hahaah so i guess that thing there last sun should be for some bball competition to win some tix..sigh too bad my aiming sucks..

2008 Tips by de Fengshui Queen Lynn Yap

Any building that uses a bagua, "8-sided shaped" winded or de real bagua wld give rise to power, fame or wealth & protection.

eg. Case in point:- Ritz Carlton, 8-sided shaped clock that faces window or doors.
Carry a small bagua, size of 20-cts coin in yr wallet for wealth, luck & power.

Be generous & appreciative of whatever little touch of others - are part of her tips.

ps:- above are just a little of her tips - read it with a pinch of salt n try it for a little fun.

Hv a pleasant n lucky day!

Was looking thru my notebook and found this quote. At that time when i wrote it down, it helped me to clear my mind abt some things at work and tot it was pretty good advice. Let me share it here.
"Sometimes it is necessary to return to where you came from in order to appreciate how far you have come. Keep a beginner's mind even as you explore something you thought you knew like the back of your hand."

Anonymous Anonymous | 19 February, 2008 00:40

Hmm... return to where we came from...

Suddenly remember a very old xin yao song... 细水长流, its my all time fav. Remember that musical show we went last yr? I started to cry when they sang this song at the beginning... it brought back many memories...

Lo hei? Just had one this afternoon, with my teamates. Think this yr will have 3 lo hei... if I got time to attend another one tmr night. Life is crazy recently, candles burning at both ends. With my hectic work life now, not sure if I can scram thru my exam this yr not. Scary...

Flamingo, i bought the DVD + CD package last wk. But haven't even open it... will find some time to open it. Sem Music said it is more worth than buy seperately.

Hmm... btw, anyone knows where i can buy bed tray? Those that you can put it on bed and have breadfast? I went to a cafe which use bed trays, very comfortable and convinient to use, therefore thinking of getting one since I don't have a proper table for work at home. Can use this tray to do homework and laptop. :D
Tried Ikea but they don't carry in anymore...:(

Just had another lo hei yesterday @ dept lunch. HUAT AH!

dolphin, i bought the DVD from Sem. Haven't finished watching, but in my personal opinion, don't think it is very well produced...

I got my bed tray from IKEA countless years ago. I used it to do my work on my bed too! :) Maybe you can try Howards (www.hsw.com.sg).

元宵节快乐!!!

Didnt know that xinyao song lyrics so cheem, read the last 2 verses then i get a lot of feeling. aiyo, already reach dat kind of age to look back...haha. now hippos still so young, got a long way to go before they get any feeling for this song :P wonder if they even know this song at all.
So fast, last day of CNY. Had my last lo-hei yesterday. It's quite interesting how each lohei went.
With family, outside: very sedate
With family, at home: loud & at ease
With frens, outside: very loud, everyone shouting out wishes, dun care abt image at all
With colleagues, outside: reasonable sound level, not too loud, not too soft cos big boss ard. & of cos we mentioned abt BIG bonuses.

So the most fun one is def the one with frens!

Poor dolphin, you can go shake hands with goldfish. When not office hours, forget abt work and concentrate on ure sch work. Jiayou to both u & goldfish! How abt anytime you are tired, jus tink you are in the same boat as goldfish, then u 2 can go fishing together! :D
hey i also dun hv a proper wk table at home but Not sure where to get bed trays. Saw in some mag that holland V area (not sure if i rem correctly) has a big kitchenware store. if u ard that area, maybe can walk ard to look see.

Heard the wonderful news that SG has won our bid to host the Youth Olympics Game. Yay! All of a sudden like SG v happening. 1st we have the SG Flyer (ok, act i'm not realli v excited abt dat but since so much money has been pumped in to build it, will def go for one round in it one of these days..or years.... Whee!), next we'll be having our 1st ever F1 night race (hey another thing to look forward to in Sep!) Then we'll hv the YOG & IRs (not sure which comes 1st). Our lil island will be v busy busy with visitors, all of us mus start learning to be good hosts. Maybe we'll hv a new smiley campaign by the govt soon!:D Hope our new mrt lines will be ready and can hold up to the increased volume by that time.
