ya... u think it is not true the moment it was announced... but we all know all along that it will be U.

I also realized that something is not right 'cos u guys sound a bit off but with all the technical mixed n equipment.. lucky we din hv a power failer during yr performance.

Like Sam's dad said, u all probably hv to adjust yr life.

We like MLB because u are down to earth.. do not have the all almighty fake star qualities. And 'Big Head' symptom.

Remain humble n in touch with reality n we MLBains will also go along the same way.

As predicted in my earlier post, I'm late, as usual. And I had forgotten about my HP again. Tsk tsk, hopefully no important call today.

Had thought that it was one of the "patterns" when you said your string snapped on stage. Was confused cos on tv, it was very clearly seen that your string really snapped yet you seem happily playing away. Ha, don't worry, you really pull it off, getting better everytime on stage now.

Ok, Today, the newspaper, is out. There is about 1 page on SB and interview. Sam is cute, Weiqi is serious and Nic is loud. And they attracted different types of girls. True true...

Personally, I am SO looking forward to your album, but don't rush into it. Too many commercial albums have glitzy marketing covering up shabby production. Congrats to MLB. I can name a lot of reasons why MLB won Superband.
Firstly, 3 of you are unassuming. You placed the music the first of your agenda and winning on the last.
Secondly, 3 of you are sincere. Your fanbase is so strong because you all make it a point to bring all fans together through blogging despite your hectic schedule.
Thirdly, you all improved and showed ur multiple talents on stage and that is rare.
Fourthly, you are the best band beside Lucify placed in the finals(objectively speaking;i'm not a Lucify fan at all)becos both bands are music to the ears and are visually good to see.
Next, I wasn't a MLB fan initially. In fact, i supported Juz B and J3. But JuzB got ousted and J3 couldn't capture me for long like MLB did. And that is owing to your great likability factor and talents. Personally, i hope MLB will take one step further. Opportunities don't come every other day, take it while you can esp since everybody who voted + MLB worked hard to create it. but whatever the decision, ppl will respect it.

To be honest, I never took notice of MLB till you were ousted, that was when I felt that it was a real pity that a group with such great talent and passion should be out of the competition. So in the revival round, I really made a lot of calls for you, I'm glad you guys not only made it through the revival round but became overall champs!

Nic, murphy's law happens when we least expect it too but praise God that you were able to perform still. You guys won lots of hearts with sincerity. Great job!

Well, mainly the New Paper is about how to market these rock bands. They said it is hard to market rock bands in Singapore, so far only Mayday succeed, not even Shin Yue Tuan and the others. And they talked about the lifespan of a band, how one another will out shine each other, and the money distribution among the band. More band members, lesser each will take. It is a good thing that MLB won because they got the least member. Then they talked about about the other 3 finalists, whether they are marketable. J3 although can sing, but without look. Look is still very important in the entertainment industry. Lucify's visual rock image is interesting to explore but also risky - afraid no mass appeal. Soul, too mature as boyband. Although can dance well but still pale in comparison to Shinhwa. They can use the route of 183 club as reference with the help of drama.

A small portion on how Nic can play with the camera and fang dian. And a bit about the competition and other finalists. Not much though.

Didn't do any much "bad" things during teens, now is more bad than my teen days. Has a very strict mom who waited for me with canes. But I do remember accidentaly broke a shop's cabinet and ran away without saying anything.

Some colleagues just said that I look more mature after perming my hair. Gotta kill my hairstylist, he told me it is jap teen hairstyle! Not auntie look!

I just read the newspaper article on lianhe zaobao. Indeed, I am really very proud of you Nic! Despite what has happened in your life, you didn't give up on yourself. I am most happy that you have found what you really want in life, and your parents are so proud of you!

As for Weiqi, I was pretty much like you. I wasn't able to admit to the local universities after many tries. However, I am really thankful to God that one of them granted me an interview, and I was finally admitted ! I can fully understand how u feel.

Lao Babe, I had it permed 2 weeks ago. It was nice but it went straight right after the first wash! So I went back to get it permed the second time, FOC, now it is curly but very dry looking. Regret of perming, never perm before. It was virgin hair without any perm or rebond. Now very jialek. Poodle hair? Ha, only can remember the very tall fringes which look very very off now.

Ha..needless to say. I'm the most pai kia among the aunties. Terrorists of the school, stealer, boxer, ah lian or whatever names ppl can think of.. ha.. anyway, changed means changed. It takes 3 days to turn rotten but many years to be fruitful. In fact I feel that if one is not bad before, you will never cherish being good. Thought it is a trend now to wear braces? I read it somewhere before, got different materials and colours to choose from. Think nerds look is in now. Althought mine is perfect eye sight + lao hua (cos old liao) after the operation, but also pondering to buy spec to wear for fashion. :)

yes it is a trend to wear fake braces in bangkok....means the studs are stuck on teeth for fun.....

but fake braces not painful. real wan is cos the braces will force the teeth together and you can actually feel your teeth moving (no joke de)...

very painful and canot eat or tok properly.....imagine you got permanent thing stuck to your mouth....

my mother scolded me for being vain at the age of *& cos she asked me to go and correct my eyesight (500 each) but i told her
"i rather have bad eyesight and look pretty...."

I had my eyes sight corrected few years back. Before that was really a nerdy type and eyes sight almost hit 1000, each side! Spec had to be specially custom made and my deep asti didn't allow me to buy off the shelf contact lens too. So I went for the operation. Tada, now in perfect eyesight. So happy, cos can go diving without worrying contact lens lost in the middle of the sea.

Lao Babe, I'm afraid of giddyness too, so the trendy glasses still safetly kept in their shop.

Season Finale - The Sacred Promise [Reply]

Everything started with a drama, and shall end with a drama. It is a pleasure to blog drama with the drama queens all these months. Now, Oyster presents : The Sacred Promise

The church was adorned with white silks, lavished with sweet smelling forget-me-nots. The Milo boys sat by their instruments near the altar. Smartly dressed in smoothen black suit, the pastor holding a Bible in his hand was getting ready for the ceremony.

The guests seated at the brown long benches were waiting in anticipation. Familiar faces like Ling, Nelle, Bonnie, Sanyi , Flora, Mei ren yu, Bel and the rest of the milo family were present.

A bright ray of light penetrated into the church. The pastor’s eyes twinkled and broke into a smile. Everyone turned and looked back at the same cue.

As the church door opened; covered by translucent veil, Chiobu fixed her eyes intently on the sturdy figure at the very end of the aisle. What more can she say to describe her joy in her heart to be able to complete the rest of her life with this charming man? “No.” she told herself, “it’s the beginning of another journey.”, as she stepped forth steadily.

(He deals the cards as a meditation. And those he plays never suspect. He don't play for the money he wins. He doesn’t play for respect.)

Shifu’s heart raced as Chiobu, like an angel with wings fluttering behind, made her way down the sacred carpet with her dainty feet. From the far distance, he could only make out the silhouette of her figure with three flower girls(the three chios) lifting the tail of her wedding dress.

(He deals the cards to find the answer. The sacred geometry of chance. The hidden law of a probable outcome. The numbers lead a dance)

Smell like a summer rose? He thought as she neared. GOD, you are so wonderful in YOUR Perfect Ways. YOU give me the best always. He silently prayed. His eyes all on Chiobu, how can he ever gaze away from her, he asked himself.

Finally, holding her delicate hands, he turned to face the pastor.

(I know that the spades are the swords of a soldier. I know that the clubs are weapons of war. )

Pastor “Do you....nor death.... shall part....”

(I know that diamonds mean money for this art....)

Lovingly at Chiobu, Shifu sang “But that's not the shape of my heart.” “And if I told you that I loved you. You'd maybe think there's something wrong. I'm not a man of too many faces. The mask I wear is one. I do, I love you.”

(She's got a smile that it seems to me. Reminds me of childhood memories. Where everything. Was as fresh as the bright blue sky. Now and then when I see her face. GOD takes me away to that special place.)

There and then, the marriage was sealed with a kiss. Hand in Hand, with the Milo boys and the flower girls behind, they made their way out of the church, to the Promised Land GOD has prepared for them.

Pianz Oyster... almost could make it to Jackie colin's latest novel already.. hahaha.. Hooray.. chiobu is finally married to Shifu.. and she could not bother Nic anymore.. Yipppppeeeeee.

Actually the beginning of the novel is almost like Da Vinci code. Ha...So holy and sacred. Ok.. maybe next we have to throw wedding banquet for them.. when when..

Think shifu will not mind if chiobu has braces on or not.. Sigh...how romantic.haha

师弟 in English mean bros of the same school. Normally not according to age. Like 5566 belongs to Warner Bros recording -- so MLB is now signed onto this company and become their 'brothers' bah!

i've been locked in my room for 3 days already. i dun wan to go out...

currently my only source of info is from the internet. while reading the zaobao article from the link one of them posted... i cried...

it's amazing that u guys whose life hadn't been smooth sailing previously could appear to be perfect on tv..

i can't study...and i hate it... i'm very scared and confused.. if i dun carry on, would that mean i'd have no future?? where can i go next? i've no idea how the world outside my own world is..
it's like, the normal route of life is primary sch, den secondary, den jc/poly den uni...

but i dun think i can make it.. if wei qi had to go through so much to get into uni with his CCD grades.. den i would be worst.. cuz i cant even hit CCD! ironically, i'm in a top 5 jc.. =((

nic, weiqi, sam, i solute u for ur bravery.. u all can face obstacles after another and finally find ur place..

u all are really super talented.. and thus can make use of ur talents..

XHL said tat he din understand why MLB chose 'Yong Qi'.

Looking at the lyrics - meaning it takes alot of guts and pesevernece to go through so much - things good and bad - i am sure MLB have gone through mani in backstage as well as all the negative remarks hurled at them - to learn hw to live thru n live with it w positive attitude.
I think MLB wans to say what is in their heart bah!

i am sure they can do the song 'Yong Qi' well but somehow GF nite is not right... we saw yr YONG QI.....

dun give up huh! sometime we come to a crossroad n wonder how to go beyond. Pray.. pray for an answer. My parents always say tat school is important but to be successful needs lots of hardword.

My dad dun hv any papers. Today he is doing ok n we are ok. Because he knows tat papers are important, he make me n my sis study hard. My grades are jus OK... but I am gonna find my nich and work on it. I think parents did not expect us to be high flyers but wan us to be able to stand up in this cold cold world.

U dun despair OK... cannot wrap in despair... gd tat u trust this Blog to let out yr fear.

First of all, hello to oyster, lao babe, Chiobu and...did I saw lao chio? It has been a while, I believe u r doing fine.

Just saw Nic's story on ZaobaoNow. Was feeling really...argh...but didn't cry la. I'm like this de, will only cry when I'm too sad. But I didn't cry. Why? I feel happy for nic-korkor. All I can say is, he is really brave.

So after reading milubing korkors story, I come up with a conclusion that I would like to share with everyone, including myself; it doesn't matter if you are 'lost'; all you need to do is - never stop trying, and never give up on yourself. If you fall, your love ones will be there to pick u up. Even if there isn't any, you still have yourself (this sentence is more for myself la).

I'm freezing in my sch library now, so my brain are frozen too. If I can think of more I post again huh.

next,i agree that there's some technical prob in the last song,YONG QI,but i dun sense any prob for the other three songs...AND the WOOSA was extremely CUTE!!!although there's technical prob for the song YONG QI,u all had gathered all the YONG QI to finish this song(= so dun feel too disheartened..cheer up!!!

third,i enjoyed the performances veri much...and i was veri high throughout the performance...although they are not the best performances u all put up,i still feel that u all tried and practiced veri veri veri veri hard to gif us these performances...i wanna say thanx you to u all instead(=

a new journey starts now and i hope there'll be more and more milo flavour performances by MLB in future...hee...

Nic-korkor, thanks for sharing your inspiring story. It really inspire all of us to work hard, especially those who are mugging for exams/tests (including me). Now I know why u emphasize in your blog that 'To those studying..study hard...pursue your passions but be realistic...".

Weiqi-korkor, so you finally can study in University ya? This is a good example of 'never say die!'. Hope you can cherish your days in NTU (I believe you will!). Also, hope you pass your (future) exams with flying colours!

Oh man... Seems like many MLBians shed tears after reading the ZB article. Me too... It was so touching, not to mention inspiring to the MLBians who are due for 'O's or 'A's (Ha ha, you know who you are!).

I was 'lost' once too, and most pathetically, I almost gave up on myself. When I think about how Nic must have felt, and how far he's come, I just want to treasure all I have.

Nic, no need for guilty feelings. It was very brave of you to come clean. I knew, but I didn't mind. It makes you so real and admirable. Superheros have their own fair shares of dark pasts and struggles. You will not be strong until you've struggled and fought your inner demons.

This is 我要飞 by FIR, this song was release when I'm at the lowest point of my life; many of my sec 4 classmates looked down on me, said that I can't pass my N level and promote to Sec 5, so they find out all ways to distract me (bullying). Luckily my teachers and parents were very supportive. And after listening to this song, I know that the bitter tears I used to shed will turn out to be a sweet one - means that life may be tough now but it is when u see the results u will be smiling away.

团名叫“迷路兵”，三名成员在过去的人生路途中都曾迷失过方向，当中22岁的吉他手李顺利更坦承，他曾因“砸店”被捕，被判入少年感化院25个月…… (the 3 bois named “Lost Soldiers”were once lost in their life directions. 22yrs old guitarist Nic frankly admitted that he broke into a shop and was napped by Police and sent to reform school for 25 months….)
“迷路兵”前晚成为新传媒电视U频道组合歌唱比赛《非常SuperBand》的冠军，三个年轻男生成员昨天接受本报专访，原来他们真的在人生路途中迷失过，只是幸好最后都找到了正确的方向。(Milu Bing became Mediacorp U Channel Superband Competition’s Champion. 3 young men during interview, admitted they were once lost in directions but fortunately now they found the correct path)

自己不坏，而是顽皮 (Nic, 22years old, guitarist – I am not a bad person, just mischievous)
22岁的吉他手李顺利（洋名Nic）坦承他进过少年感化院。肤色白皙、样子俊秀、一表斯文、说话轻声细语的他曾经日子很不“顺利”。他在四年前一度误交损友，有一次其中一个朋友“不爽”自己的前老板，他也跟着朋友起哄，一起加入“砸店”行列，最后被警方逮捕。未成年的他，被判入少年感化院25个月。 (Nic admitted he went to reform school. Nic is fair in complexion, speak softly and is good-looking. This happened 4 years ago when he mixed with some friends and feel that life at that point is facing a cross-road n things dun seems to be going right for him. He had a friend that had a tiff with his Boss and together they decided to break into the shop. Finally they were napped by Police. At that point he was under age and was sent to reform school for 25 months)
李顺利说自己不是坏，而是顽皮，谈起那段过往，还是很紧张，要求记者手下留情，以免让家人难堪，但同时又显示一种大方勇敢面对过去的决心，他说能改过自新，他感到自豪。 (Nic said he is not a bad person but mischievous. He is still uncomfortable speaking of the past. He begged the reporter to be gentle on their reporting as he do not want to upset his family feelings. At the same time he is also courageous to face his past. He is proud that he is able to change into a new leaf)

感化院里发掘音乐兴趣 (Realized love for music at reformatory)
他说年少无知，来到升学路口时，只会跟着一大群人申请进入理工学院，然后等待入伍这样的生涯。他在理工学院念信息工程学（Engineering Informatics）不到一年，便因失去兴趣而辍学。不久发生“砸店”事件，他在感化院里发觉自己对音乐的兴趣，不但以创作曲得过冠军，还因此获得不少学习音乐的机会，并且慢慢改过自新。由于行为良好，他提早四个月获释，就按照兴趣到一家私人学校念音频工程（Audio Engineering）文凭课程。(being innocent in his younger days, he applied for Poly with a group of friends and enrolled for Engineering Infomatics. At the same time waiting for NS. Less than a year he realized his interest is not there and he stop school. So the ‘break in’ incident happened. In reform school he realizes his interest in music. He tried song writing and composing and won an Award in 1st place. Because of this opportunity his attitude changed. Due to good conduct, he was released 4 months earlier than the terms period. He went to study Audio Engineering in a private school.
他说：“我确定自己对音乐有兴趣，所以报读这一科，尽管这科毕业后出路不广，可能只能做一个拉线员，我也认了。” (He said : when I realized I have interest in music, I decided to take up study in this area. I also know that the future in this area is not great but I accept the fact even if I become a wireman)
他说感化院比监狱可能还更令人难受，因为它的牢房不设厕所，只提供便桶。他最难过的是跟家人只能每星期见一次面。 (He said a reformatory maybe is worst as compared to prison. There is no toilet in the room and only a carrier for ‘your business – big n small. The most unbearable is to be able to see your family only once a week)
经过这次感化，他说爸爸为他的转变感到骄傲，妈妈则仍担心他。不过获得《非》冠军以后，他终于在妈妈脸上看到许久不见的笑容。他要对父母说：“谢谢你们在我跌倒后扶我起来，让我做我想做的事。”他透露，一年的音频工程文凭课程花了爸爸一万元，但爸爸无怨无悔。“也谢谢爸爸在我幼稚园二班时教我弹吉他。” (With this experience, his Dad is proud to see him changed over to a new leaf. Mum is still worried. With the winning of Superband title, he finally saw the smile on Mum’s face again. He wanted to say to his parents :Thank you for picking me up when I fell and letting me do the things I want to do. He revealed that his studies cost his Dad S$10,000 but his Dad does not regret spending these monies on him.
公开这段往事，李顺利可会担心被人看不起？他说：“我的个性是：你说我不好，我会点头承认，然后说我要做得更好。”他握紧拳头化悲愤为力量。 (Nic is worried that after revealing his past, he wonders how the public will look down on him. He said : My character – when you say I am no good, I will nod in agreement and after that I will work hard to better myself. He was clenching his fists to give himself strength to go on.)

陈伟奇／21岁／键盘手 ( Chen WeiQi/ 21 years old/ Keyboard)
三次申请大学落空 (Rejected 3 times by university)
21岁的团长兼键盘手陈伟奇也“迷过路”，他当年A水准考出C、C、D的成绩，三次申请进大学都落空，但他勤奋不懈，在服役期间尽量利用机会大展设计身手，最后把设计品纪录跟报名书一起寄到南洋理工大学最热门的设计与传媒学院，竟然被录取，让他非常兴奋。外表很酷的他也紧张地说：“明天我就开学了！” (21yrs old leader and also the Keyboard player Chen WeiQi also has his share of ‘lost direction’. His Grades in A level is a C,C,D. He applied for uni 3 times and were rejected. He did not give up. During NS, he when on to designing. He sent in his designs with application again to NTU to enroll in popular designing and mass media institute and was accepted finally. He was happy being accepted by NTU. He looks cool but could not concealed his excitement and said : I am going to school tomorrow!”

王瑞祥／20岁／鼓手 (Wang Rui Xiang, Sam (forgive me for getting the pinyin wrongly)/ 20 yrs old/ drummer

本想服役后学手艺 (has the intention to learn a skill after NS)
20岁的国民服役人员王瑞祥（鼓手，Sam）则不喜欢念书，他本来想服役后出来学门手艺，如烹饪。可是现在他不必为前途操心了，因为他的下一步是：当歌手。 (20yrs old NS man Wang Rui Xiang (drummer Sam) do not like to study. He wanted to learn a skill, i.e cooking after NS. Now he future is planned, he is going to be a singer)
三人比赛的奖品便是华纳唱片一纸唱片合约，做了台湾当红组合5566、183俱乐部、K-ONE等的师弟。(The Award is a contract with Warner Recording Company. With this they are now the juniors of 5566, 183 Club and K-One).
这三个臭皮匠，不，是三个迷路兵，迷迷糊糊的、误打误撞的，就这样决定了人生方向，但愿他们从此不再迷路，做个永远认清方向、不怕挫折困难的好兵。 (These guys are definitely not ‘Lost Soldiers’. I this process in unexpected twist of events have their future mapped out. With this, they will not be lost again and will always be brave soldiers)

“迷路兵”团名从“milo冰”而来 (Muliu Bing comes from the beverage Milo Ice)
为什么团名叫“迷路兵”？这名字看起来实在没有“冠军相”。(Why MiluBing? Not a suitable name for a Champion)
王瑞祥说：“因为去参加比赛试镜前夕，我们三人在一起吃夜宵，当时喝的饮料都是‘milo冰’。” (Sam said : because of the eve of the competition the 3 of them were having upper and at that point they were drinking milo ice)
陈伟奇说：“可是上电视不能打别人的品牌，我们就改叫迷路兵，我们觉得也满好听的……” (WeiQi said : we are not able to advertise the brand and later changed to lost soldiers. We find the name suitable too.)
三人的家庭是世交，他们很小就在同一个教会认识，经常在一起玩，所以默契很好。几年前，教会有个懂音乐的兄弟，发掘三人的才华，经常指点他们。这次的比赛，也是他鼓励他们报名参加。 (The 3 come from a normal family. They know each other since young. They played together therefore they are able to connect better. A few years back, someone who knows music in the church discovered their talent in music, He was the one who encouraged them to join the competition.

自称是“廉价兵” (they called themselves ‘cheap soldiers’)
三个“新兵”为了比赛才第一次组团，加上家境普通，很多时候对乐器、彩排等细节不能太讲究，他们笑称是“廉价兵”。 (These 3 ‘new soldiers’form a band because of this competition. They come from normal families therefore they are not able to use expensive music instrument in their arrangements. They used to laugh at themselves and called themselves ‘cheap soldiers’.)
不过他们的默契和创意却在比赛中显现出来。中途他们一度爆冷被淘汰，后来在翻身赛中他们豁出去了，在演唱陶喆的《王八蛋》时，还在背后贴上乌龟图案，幽自己一默。最后他们顺利翻身，晋级大决赛，圆了他们从未想过的冠军梦。 (Their creativity is exposed during the competition. They were kicked out but later revived b y singing David Tao’s Wang Ba Dan. They even pinned a turtle at the back to laugh at themselves. They were revived and later went on the Grand Final and clinched the Superband title.)
在大决赛，他们的票数一路领先，始终是大热门姿态。他们很谦虚地表示自己实力不足，不少组合有比他们优胜之处，只是人家可能个别来说都很强，加起来就太过了，他们则是各有不足，加起来则刚刚好。 (In GF, the votes were leading all the while. They were the hot favorite. However they were humble and said that there are many Bands that were better than them. Maybe because all the Bands are too good and MLB is not so perfect… so by adding all the imperfection together… they became the perfect Band)

三人曾经被叫小丑 (There were times people called them Clown)
翻身赛那场，他们不觉得耻辱，反而觉得那是额外多了经验。 (We were not ashamed that we have to do revival. Instead it adds on to our experience.)
三人经过四个月的操练，累积了大群粉丝，也听到无数的批评。好的方面，他们感谢“你们长得好可爱”的赞美，不过“我喜欢你们的音乐”的话语会令他们更开心。 (After 4 months of competition has accumulated a large fan base. They have received both positive and negative comments. Good comment was “you guys are cute” but we were most happy when people say “we love your music”.
也有令他们难过的批评，如“那三个小丑……怎么做SuperBand？”之类的。他们笑：“我们的确有时会搞笑，像小丑。(There were also negative comment like ‘3 clown… how to be Superband?” They laugh that they were at time clowning around.
大决赛当天，他们就看尽人世冷暖，一边是支持者尖叫“我们支持你！”，另一边是别人的支持者鬼叫：“滚开啦！”还好他们很开朗，说“比赛就是这样的！” (On GF, we saw different faces of people. One end you fans keep shouting ‘We support you’ and on the other side people shouting ‘Get out’. Luckily we are the happy type. Competition is like this.)

李顺利曾担心成为绊脚石 (Nic is worried that he will be the stumbling block)

李顺利和王瑞祥的父母都是受薪阶级，陈伟奇的父亲则待业，他们都自称来自小康家境，没有能力花太多钱投票。李顺利说连朋友他都叫不出口要他们投票，看到有粉丝说为了省钱投票给他们而不吃饭，他们都很内疚。他们也看过有其他组合掏钱替粉丝印制团体T恤，可是他们花不起这个钱，于是便用20元给100个支持者漏夜做了模版印图（stencil），作为永恒的纪念，可说是礼轻情意重。他们没有想到的是，最后能以30%的大差距击败劲敌Soul，显示自己的粉丝分布很广。 (Both Nic and Sam Dads are employees. WeiQi Dad is pending employment. They come from normal families and do not have too much extra to vote for them. Nic don’t even know how to open his mouth to ask friends to vote. They felt guilty when realized that their fans even save up on meals to vote for them. There are groups that spent monies making Ts for their fan but we are not able to do so. Therefore we use S$20 to do a stencil to spray print 100 Ts for our members. This will also serve as a souvenir. This is a simple gift but the thoughts are there. We never thought that at the end we won Soul by 30%. At this point we realized that our fan base is big.
现在有机会出唱片了，可是陈伟奇和王瑞祥担心表现达不到别人对他们这组冠军的期望。李顺利则担心自己的过往会成为绊脚石，他坦言，有人在网上暗示知道他的过去，那人写说即使他曾经坐过牢，他一样支持他。 (With the opportunity to be able to cut a record, there are worried that they may not live up to expectation. Nic is afraid his past will be a stumbling block. There are people who posted that they know his past but will still support him.)
所以李顺利决定鼓起勇气公开自己“跌倒”的往事，两个兄弟在一旁为他打气，王瑞祥还很精明似地分析说现在是最好的时刻。原来，两人在李被关的两年，曾经定期写信鼓励他，李获释时，他们也到感化院迎接他。 (This is the reason Nic wants to reveal his past. Both Sam and WeiQi encouraged him and Sam said this is the best time to reveal. During reform, Sam and WeiQi were consistently writing to Nic and give him encouragement. When he was released them were there to receive him.)
结束访问，三人又恢复迷糊样，对于未来，他们完全没有盘算，王瑞祥笑说：“等一下我们要去开个会谈谈。” (After interview, they snapped back into their ‘blur’ state. They have no plan for future. Sam said : we need to have a meeting after this.)
其实要开会讨论的不只他们，还有华纳唱片。李顺利两个月后要入伍，王瑞祥还在服役，陈伟奇开始上大学，这支迷路兵未来如何在歌坛成军，幕后真的需要一个精明的元帅指挥引路喔！ (Not only they need to meet. Warner Recording also needs to meet. Nic is going to NS, Sam still in NS, WeiQi in uni.. how MLB is going into the entertainment arena. They will surely need a ‘super commander’ to open up the roads for them.

陈伟奇和王瑞祥什么都听，没有偶像，李顺利则最欣赏美国的摇滚组合Senses Fail，他们属于Emo摇滚，即介于彷克摇滚与重金属摇滚之间。 (Sam, WeiQi listen to all music, no idol. Nic like Senses Fail. More of emo rock and hard metal rock)

◆他们之间谁的歌迷最多？Who has the most fans
最初是外型最帅的李顺利，现在则很平均，李顺利的微笑、王瑞祥的邻家男孩模样都吸引不同粉丝，陈伟奇的支持者则是沉默的一群。 (Initially is Nic, now is even out. Nic’s smilez, Sam boy-next-door image attracted different fans. WeiQi’s fans are more of the subdued type.)

◆他们之间谁最有才华？ Who has the most talent?
三人觉得彼此各有千秋：李顺利很会融合感情与音乐，点子天马行空，王瑞祥则比较实在，陈伟奇于是扮演两者的桥梁。此外，李顺利的唱腔偏摇滚，王瑞祥则偏抒情，两人负责演绎不同类的作品，而陈伟奇受过合唱团训练，可扮演合音。王瑞祥会玩所有人的乐器，李顺利则在台上表现最自然。(All 3 has their own talent. Nic is a mixed of emotion and music and he dare to dream of the impossible, Sam is more down to earth, WeiQi is the bridge that brings the two together. Nic is rock, Sam is sentimental so there are responsible for different presentation of songs. WeiQi trained in choir therefore he will be backup voice. Sam plays all kind of music instruments and Nic is most natural on stage.)

◆谁不配 (Who is not suitable to join Superband)
参加《非常SuperBand》？
有人批评《非常SuperBand》一些参赛组合不谙乐器，不符合“Band”（乐队）的要求，如“Soul”就是。迷路兵却维护对方说：“Band的意思很广，像Soul就可以叫做‘Boy Band’，如果你看过他们的舞蹈，你会佩服他们。而且他们有成员会玩乐器，只是没有表演出来罢了。”(There are people who commented that some groups couldn’t be consider a Band. MiLu Bing defended them. The meaning of ‘Band’ is wide, like Soul they can be called a ‘Boy Band’. To those who saw their dances, you will take your hats of them. There are team members in Soul that play music instruments too is just that they did not showcase it.

This is gonna be difficult for me. I know I am going to be shoot by all MLBian..but...I still hv to face the music.

Read the ZaoBao interview.Saw Nic mentioned someone knew abt his past n said will still support him.....

I think I am the person..
I cannot remember if I used TT, CC or tinn tinn as my name but I remembered I was chatting with zihwye regarding Nic's age n study then some ppl came in to scold why I keep asking abt Nic's study thats when I was pissed off n said there is nothing to hide n nothing wrong with anyone's past.I said even if he is an exconvict I will still support him coz I love his music....
I was just quoting an example...It really was an example.
I don noe if Nic was referring to my msg in his interview...If yes....I am very SORRYYYYYYYY.
I did not mean to put you into such a situation or emotion.....You must hv felt very scared n frustrated then.
I really did not mean any harm. I said that to show my support regardless of their status or past..

eh...your justis korkor and SOUL korkors very sad leh.......they are very disappointed with their performance and with the technical fault...as fans no matter how we encourage/console them, its still very hard for them to let go the memory of not able to end Superband flawlessly/ to their best standard. At least your Nic korkor's so-called technical problems are not obvious to the audiences...until they watch repeat...sigh.

It was really a pity that your guitar string broke and i hope that you got it back again. It was really terrifying when your guitar broke out of nowhere. However, you must still continue to make more music.

Nic: You are very very HANDSOME :D

And to regards to Sam: Well, you are going back to camp so must take good care of yourself, and sleep well. Dont ever let the panda eyes come out of your eyes. and tell you what, you really have a smoothing voice :D And i almost touched by your voice. Nic, I never felt so sad in a really long time, but after reading your interview with zaobao, I cried. I've never had to go through what you did, my life has always well-planned and smooth. Be it studies or friendships, I had it all good. After reading the interview, I almost hate myself for leading a good life.

You (and Sam and Weiqi) brought me a lot of joy with your music and performance. I never knew what you guys had to go through because you always looked so happy.

Will knowing the past change my opinion of you? No. In fact, my friends and I salute you even more. We feel that you have a lot of Ýong Qi that we lack. Thank you for teaching us what courage means.

Perhaps you'll think that I'm mad, but I still can't stop crying after reading that article. I don't know how to explain it. So perhaps I should stop here and quit being delirious and taking up space.

saw on the papers that the album is scheduled to release end of year?? is it too soon? hopefully it can be done in your way, include few english songs, then mayb we can hear nic's compositions....=)

mayb u guys can try to write chinese songs too in the future... juz like kit chan and tanya, they were more proficient in eng but they also learn to compose chinese songs as well...

hopefully next time can see u all perform 'yong qi'(coz it could be better if not coz of sound system, and could see u all really love the song) and 'qian shou' (coz u all say got more pattern one, but coz string snap, cnt perform...) again....

I'm trying to not use my handphone as far as I can help it for the rest of this month so that I wont exceed my talk time and SMS limits so the bills won't be too shocking.

Apart from the votes, also maxed out my SMS limits with all the smses I spent on liaisoning with people who wanted tickets; and talk time discussing with people on how to pass them tickets.

Haha but its ALL WORTH IT man!!

Waiting for Saturday so I can watch the whole thing again.

But I'm feeling quite lost (really mi lu) now cos there's nothing significant on Ch U on Mondays at 8pm anymore. :(

To be very honest; it hasn't really sunk it that my favourite band won SuperBand. (:

And then going to school today with everyone telling me "wahh you must be very happy ah Milubing won SuperBand." just felt weird lah. Cos all those people don't even watch SuperBand. =P

whenever i fellowship with my brothers and sisters. (ex-prisoners), I can't help being so touched that they are in the army of GOD. Once we were lost soldiers, now the commandoes, fighting for GOD in the no-man's land. They have unfailing determination to change and their courage to face their mistakes. Nothing can be as courageous as that.

I remember visiting the prison twice. On the first visit I fought back my tears. I told myself not to cry in front of them because I'm supposed to bring them happiness from outside. The second visit, my tears refused to stop. We were singing this Chinese song "you yi wei shen". I cried because I saw the Grace of GOD has reached to this kind of places, the out-of the world place where no one can see the heartwrenched, where many broken hearted need HIM. Their desperate calls and hope in the songs moved me greatly. I didn't know how life will be behind the bars. Noticing the thin layer of clothes they wear, learning of the restricted prison life, looking at their pale faces, gazing at some's barren hearts, how can one not tear? when they can come out and root firmly, how can one not cheer? :D

These ppl with a unique past humbled me. They allow me to reflect on my life. They show me the true courage. They lead me to view the windows of their lives. They are ordinary ppl with extraordinary lives. They are polished up to be real man, real soldiers, the real survivors.

Read the interview on the Zao Bao... It's really touching and recalled how I was once lost but now I'm found... Just like the hymn - Amazing Grace... I believe that there are times we are once lost but there is always another pair of footprints walking with us... =)

Just read the zaobao article.

While I must say that all my friends (and I) were under the impression that Nic is as guai as he looks (which is basically very very very guai), congrats cos he turned over a new leaf and found his direction in life.

Compared to so many others out there who are still left aimless and lost.

Lets hope this continues to inspire people.

And to everyone out there - sometimes we may feel inferior to others, just cos we aren't in the top schools, or just cos we don't speak as well as the others. But lets all just remember that we're strong in our own ways. Just like every band in the competition. =)

nice improvisation on the string. really. that was cool. my string broke once too onstage and all i could do was fake my way through haha.

anw, i thought that yongqi was my favourite despite the sorta weird sounding starting.. with the keyboard or something. sound mixer i guess. its just the feeling that i get after hearing. i like the honest feeling that i got after listening. perhaps it has got to do with me liking the song itself..

thanks for making the music world a much more wonderful place. i really hope you guys will stay the same=) hopefully learning more things in terms of music haha.

sheesh. prelims' starting. better be off studying cause murphy's law still stands true.

omg. i teared while reading the lian he zao bao news article! it's very well-written!

i didn't know that you guys have "mi lu" before.. seeing you guys so happy and cheerful now.. really changed a lot! i won't look down on nic, in fact, i'm glad to know that he has turned over a new leaf.. he has made everyone proud. he is able to stand up again after his fall. and sam and weiqi too.. jia you!!

i pretty admire their "jing shen".. they are really strong.. they are determined to do their very best.. they perservere and have the "never say die" attitude. i'm truly proud of them!

it's easy to find people with good academic results on street, but it's very rare to spot people like you all, with talents in music! it's really an affinity that you guys know each other since young! and become such good friends with so much "mo qi".. it's definitely an advantage for a band.

just wanna tell you guys NEVER give up! milubing has brought so much happiness to the MLBians.. we all love your music! so work hard together and produce an excellent album for us! we know you can make it de.. cuz we believe in milubing! cheers! ((:

you're making me cry... cried like duno how many times today can. -_-" when i listened to yongqi and read the npp articles at the same time... esp the zaobao article and this blog post!
feels sorta related? the zaobao article and the song....
forget about the unhappiness of the past... its a new life ahead, a life of a superstar... i could feel the yong qi you needed to tell the media about your past... dont worry about all these... not important liaos.
to say honestly, all of us will definitely have times of lost... but after being lost... we can definitely find back our correct direction in life. just like you guys did! no longer mi lu bings....

with all the encouragement from all of mlb's 3Fs [family, friends, fans], u guys can definitely do well in the future...

Anyway, MLB family loves nic korkor, Weiqi korkor and Sam korkor for who they are isn't it? You may know many people, but it is only true friends and family will never forsake you.

Hey today is the National Day eve hor? It will be half-day for some of you is it? Good for u! Its still full day for my school (and probably other polys as well) for 8 Aug and 10 Aug. Thank God for friends who prayed for me. Thank God for books that encouraged me. Thank God for the counsellor who helped me see...

Please dun worry too much. MLB was indeed the BEST for many Singaporeans, some Malaysians & perhaps foreginers that study or work here.
MLB is Singapore 1st Ever SuperBand, MLB definitely has the quality to be Singapore 1st Ever SuperBand. So how can you doubt your own music? The only thing is; you guys must continue to improve & give us more good music. We also know that the others band were good too, but MLB are the BEST (at least to me).
Hopefully, MLB's music shall be appreciated by people from Malaysia, Taiwan, Hongkong & China in no time!
As for your news in yesterday's ZaoPao; I am very proud of you for been so brave to tell your story at this point of time. You knew your mistakes, you fell & you pick up from there, you work hard for what you want with the strong support from your parents & love ones. Its a very touching real story. Although I don't know about your past, when we 1st met (hope you still remember), but I really can't believe & compare to what you described about your past. I only know that you are super polite (kept calling me uncle) & you are very social + friendly. Whatever happened in the past have passed, so stop thinking about it. Look at your bright future now, you are able to do something that you love most. And there are so many people out there supporting you, Sam & WeiQi.
I didn't know that your guitar's string snapped, until when I read from the news. Maybe I was to high & busy voting for MLB until I can't hear you announed on stage. With these, you still perform well & will very calm to finish the whole song. You deserve 3 Cheers from all MLBians, especially from me. Without you, I don't think I'll have a chance to see MLB perform live at the Grand Final.
Glad to know that you actually are a composer, hopefully we are able to hear your own song, sing by MLB.
Strongly believe & have faith that MLB will be an international brand just likes MILO "PENG" in the near future.
Trust me that MLBians will continue to support MLB for life. We shall continue to rawks the house again as a MLB Family.

Dear Sam, remember the night which you had awkwardly tried to answer a fan's question about your career. Happened to be there, heard it and it sank into my heart. But now, I believe that you had found the answer right? Its a good thing that this competition actually helped you even though the original purpose was to pull Nic back.

Had tried to find the pink colour post which nic don't really like, but end of the day, it became our group colour, fated.

Nic, sincere thanks for obliging & updating us on your going-ons. Everything is a matter of perspective. U think Woosa could've been better but reading the tags many of the fans (me included) think it was one of the best songs MLB performed tt nite. It's a matter of seeing things in different perspective. From where we were standing, the atmosphere you 3 guys created was ELECTRIC! it was HIGH HIGH HIGH in the audience, we were singing along with u!!

Just managed to read what it is all about in the translated script, chinese no good lah.

Nic, I am sure at that point in time when you were caught and sentenced it was like "THE END" "embarassed" "unfilial" "regrets" "felt stupid" etc....

Look on the positive side of it, you get to see who are your friends, it tested your family bonding, to make you realised your family are always there for you no matter what. Some still dont realised.

It was this episode in your life that you found your directions in life. So maybe it was a path destined for you to take.

Though hard on you it might be, at least you found some answers in life that many still dont.

Yes, we love MLB music, MLB patterns, MLB raw talents. That is why we supported MLB. It can never be perfect, what is perfect?

It is through imperfection, then answers will appear. Just like your young life.

Anyway the road ahead is not going to be easy. It will be another test in a different form.

i admit that i used to steal money from my grandma.
when i steal it, it used to be $50 or $100 a time.
and there was one time when i steal her maid things.
she found out and told my grandma,
she asked me day and night, even my mum dunch believe me.
but i told her the truth that i had return things back.

i knew this and quickly returned her things back into her wardrobe.
but i told my mum i had return her things back, no one believed every words i said.
i knew no one could understand my feelings,
so i went to church to asked for God forgivness.
since my grandmother hse was a terrence hse. i knew that finding the missing things was a difficult task.
i serached everywhere, includin between sheets of newspaper. but such a concidence, i found the necklace between the sheets of newspaper, my mum scolded me.
she didnt know it wasnt me but the maid had hiden me.
at that times, i felt that everyone missunderstood me as a thief.
i couldnt understand why no one believes me.

my mum was furious with me.
at that time, no one used to believe everything i said.
my sis fone gone missing the day i admit,
and everyone said it was me.
i couldnt bring my head up.
but i keep insistin it wasnt me.
dad tried callin my sis fone and there he found, it was in the cupboard in the kitchen.
but i knew it right inside my heart, i wasnt the one who tried to hide it.
i knew the culprit was the maid.
but no matter what i said, everyone could point their fingers at me.
accusin me of stealing.
then, no matter how i helped myself, no one could understand me.
but since i knew God, everything changed.
i used to be rebellious,

Many years before, which seems like yesterday, I was trapped in this little prison of mine.
Frequent partying and big connections might made me look glamourous.
But who knows, there's this lonely soul looking up at the moon every night, feeling so empty inside, feeling so wrenched inside.
Friends were once the whole world, this silly fool thought by going through all thick and thin, brother & sisters will stick together.
In the end, I didn't even realised that I was soak in complete deceptions,fears and sin.
Thick and thin was unreciprocated thinking of mine.

One theft incident revealed the hearts of most.
so utterly disappointed in their reactions, I left that bunch of nonsense ppl.
Bundling up all the blame of the theft wasn't a big deal, the big deal was the theft was to satisfy other's desires not mine.
But when the sin was uncovered, the ironic part was that no one stood beside to carry the blame together.

after that, somehow, miraculously, I turned to God.
I sat alone.
I eat alone, I walk alone, all alone with a Bible in my hand.
All I know at that time was to go back to God.
All I want to do at that time is to rest in His arms.
I was disobedient for years.
As God has promised that if I seek Him with all my heart, I will find Him.
He let me find him, and ever since, I never regretted walking the faith path with Him.
The once heartbroken me was filled with His everlasting Love.
The authority and respect I get now is not from my fierce looks and unruly behaviours, the authority comes from the Words of God.
I feel so free now without obliging to anyone for their favors because I found my worth in Christ, I found my Purpose in life.

Weiqi is 21 this year, just started sch in NTU taking design-related course.
