chiobu! The show is 'on the beat' and they mainly interview Soul, man tou, J3 and the CSS contestants. One member of Soul, who is Alfred, is Renfred's brother. Kelly Poon and man tou's vocalist Jia Yu were good friends in music school. J3 and Jun Yang were from the same band few years ago. But for that part JY is doing the talking. Yup, my impression on that sort-of-interview is like...the 'on the beat' production team semms to have become another paraparzzi (not sure if i mispelt it). Anyway, yup, didn't see milubing been interviewed.

I noticed the last 2 rounds that MLB started to 'sound and look' the same. You may still be in judges' good book but it ain't gonna last long (see what happened to QINOBE).

You must evolve - you can. I am tired of the formula of - opneing with a dramatic skit, then slow to fast rock singing. Too expected.

You should 'move on'. MLB can change easily than others because MLB has Jesus. That is far stronger than others.

Pray, think and listen.

You may attempt to throw in some English or Japanese verses for a change...or dress up say looking like lambs or pyjamas with lamb prints...

Or shredded torn fur outfits (the Lamb)....

A little touch will go a long way.....

sorry that my rendition of a canto song sparks off so much debate. just my way to express that i can't go to tong shui to meet mlb. v difficult for me to go support them at events too (reasons not to discuss here). sigh! so the canto song aptly describes my desire.
anyway, grateful for the youtube address. spent whole pm watching past performances of mlb. left me in tears, esp shen bian. i used to be in sch band & can play 4 instruments, drum being my fav. i had to drop the cca cos of mum's order to study. almost change sch cos of that. sigh!

as I've blogged b4, readg all the entries is very entertaining. first it starts off gently(encouragments for MLB), then drama (personal comments/conversations from the 4 ladies, and those for and against this private chitchat), and then more drama over the lamb. then peace reigns again (that's what I like abt MLBies--peaceloving folks).
Ha ha, sorry to bring up the lamb saga again but just a little playful suggestion to lighten our mood:
what abt wearing t-shirts with lambs? (beg or borrow from friends who have visited Australia);
putting on lamb brooches, cap pins, hair pins? carrying toy lambs in arms? (after all, some gals carry teddy bears to town). there's lamb keychains... (again, beg or borrow from those who have been to Australia); cut out lamb shapes and make into paper fans to wave as MLB sing .... just some crazy ideas to destress :]

They are just not so hard core to post messages to MLB every single time thats all. They chatting about tongshui shifu/ cantonese songs.... what is the problem with that?

If not for all these, the blog is so boring...i think it is great to see people making friends here. gthis is why MLB blog is different from others....

only time i drink milo is with kopi.

receipe #1, miloko: take black kopi, or 2-in-1, or 3-in-1, and mix in milo powder. pour hot water in. stir. supersumptious. gives kopi rich chocolately taste.

recipe #2, milosnak:
two tablespoons of milo;
one tablespoon of condensed milk (or just engh to make a sticky mixture)

when i was a kid (dinosaur yrs ago), this was our secret snack, and I wld lick the mixture on the big tablespoon. Yummy yum.

Another way: spread the mixture on crackers (square biscuits). Also superyummy.
Warning: take sparingly (diabetics).

1st busstop: interchange
2nd busstop: near ntuc
3rd busstop: opp swimming pool
4th busstop: in front is esso pls alight here. cross the traffic light to the other side and walk straight until u see the green sign 'Jalan Mas Puteh' Somehow the sign points to tong shui.

to go al-ameen, take 184 from clementi. goes to ngee ann poly busstop, after the shell station pls alight. got a stretch of coffeeshops. find the signboard al-ameen.

seems like im helping tong shui & al-ameen to advertise x_x haha wateva...go there & enjoy the nice foodd...

if the's meeting at tong shui, will thr b milo spare ribs? after all, thr's kopi spare ribs. for dessert, how abt milo-green tea-red bean three layered cake? simply sumptious.
MLB--u guys r tired. "sleepy days and sleepless nites." perhaps u like to try brand chix essence (just drink half a bottle a day for starters). for beginners, if u dun know how yr body will react, dun take more than 1 bottle per week. At the same time, drink lots of water (cos' it may be heaty to the body). personally, i was once so tired over some weeks. inspite of e taste and smell, i started drinking chix essence, and it helped! in the past, many times suffered from strep throat, sore throat, voice loss, etc., but now I hardly visit the doc!
doc also told me to stay away from snacks or food that is hard and can cut throat lining e.g. bbq pork, chips etc. When lining is cut, mor vulnerable to germs. my ex-choir master banned us fr chilli n durians (so after concert, the guys gorged on durians!).

Hmmm.. I watched Hong Kong Serials too. Dynamic man! But I prefer their featured films. And now I'm more fascinated by the Korean Drama. 'cause the effects very good. The way they bring in the music, the contents, the storyline and also the camera techniques they used. S'pore show can be tread on under our shoes already. Budgeting on films is the most silly things to do so only local short films and documentaries by private production houses can make it overseas. Duh! Pui!

Hmmm.. Yuu...how old are you? ha.. I'm not big, not small, just nice that's all. Just old enough to matchmake Chio Bu with Shifu. Old enough to be their witness. Er..Shifu rich man la. Ha..I've watched quite a lot of Korean Drama series. Er. The one I like most is Summer Scent. The actress caught my eye. The Scenery and the storyline. I will rather be the director in the drama, not the actress.I will hire Chio Bu + Shifu to be the lead cast. Milu Bing to compose and mix the songs in this drama. Get the fans to be the Featured extras. Er. MLB can also starr as the 3 disciples of Shifu, encouraging them to be together. But then, Shifu's past girlfriend pestering him, not wanting to let go. Just heng suai, that ex girlfriend knew the secret of Chio bu- Chio Bu's ancestor was ....something to do with Shifu.

Then.. [hey, doesn't all Drama series seem almost the same?]

Anyway la, if anyone wants to shoot MTV, portfolio etc, can come find me.. Ha..self advertise. :D

Haha.. no no.. the storyline should be Chiobu discovered her heart donor is sifu's ex.. then she realised she fell in love with sifu but sifu dun know if love her because she looks like his ex or love chiobu bec she is Chiobu..

Then sifu will sing remix version of "Guo Huo" to CHiobu.. dun know to set her free or not. Wah.. dramatic enough or not?

But it's true all korean drama
seems alike.. either female lead got illness. .. or male lead had accident, forgot about the past.. or worse.. some family hidden secrets that got to do with the female or male leads, which they not supposed to know.

Then MLB and fans shall sing and act MTV of summer scent remix together and directed by Oyster. Yeah. Big Production.

what they will do is that for QF10 eliminate 1 band, left 5 safe for additional week, the latest 5 whom got eliminated will go for the last revival round, and one will comeback, and this time round 6 remain again.

Then they will have a semi-final 1 and 2, each semi-final will eliminate 1 band, left 4 to the finals.

Summary:

drama always makes mi confused or upset (why bad guys so cunning and the good guys so conned, i mean, easily conned). but i like the hokkien "pi li huo" (thunder?) cos' the plot is so convoluted, it's so challenging to guess wat the scriptwriter is going to cum up with. morover, the good and bad are equally smart so there's challenge.

anyway, i have a question (sori, i am asking so mani qtns): how did shifu come to be MLB's shifu?
oh, another qtn: the last I know, shifu was at Goshen (nice place and food) then now i learn he's at Tong Shui. wat's the saga?

shifu "handpicked" us when we were young...we staretd off as trainees for the youth musician thingy...but somehow we 3 blended the most together when we played..kinda weird..but it worked out well for us..so since that very young age...he instilled musical "feels" into us...teaching us the fundamentals of music yet allowing us to bloom in our own very diff way...he would use to say to mi..."i show u one time ar..u dun learn cia lat u noe" then i would try my best learn within that one time! but of coz he's just pushin my learning curve up la..he din realli mean it...he would tell sam wad beat to play...n for wei qi i remembered he being more technical chord wise n stuff...stuff i dun like but had to try grasp la..haha..we grew up to different musical directions...due to character wise ba...Sam was more a soft person..he went shu qing...i was more a loud person..i went to rock..wei qi was anything and could appreciate everything...though 3 in diff directions...when put to play together any genre (dun tell mi jazz the chord so chim la!) we 3 would just be telepathic...somehow could gel so well and communicate via music...shifu moulded us musically..helped us made different pairs..unique pairs of wings...that we could now fly in different "patterns" and directions yet looking like a team...he taugh us to "give way"...to let someone take lead when he should (in his instrument)...as we play as a team..not a soloist...he instilled in us the knowledge...of how to be a band...not soley a musician...

goshen was his biz...he withdrew from it sometime back for some reasons which we are not very clear of...but he's happy and doing well in his new workplace...as long as itz food..he's happy! he loves cooking! i asked b4 why not be a musician full time as he got wat it takes...he told mi..he's too old for that kind of upbeat life...wants to settle down...guess its becoz a musicians' life is very hard..income unstable ba..type till hand tired!

wow, looking at yr shifu, didnt know he's so musical (dun judge a bk by its cover, eh?). yet he's a great teacher cos' he taught u all the principles, and gives u the sky to fly. vy rare. best of all, he's able to motivate and increase learning curve. vy tough challenge. i agree he makes a fantastic shifu. u r vy fortunate!!!

ha ha, some frds are like tat--click so well u can complete their sentence for them. tho' i lousy at music (gave up at end of grade one piano) I undstd jazz is like that--the musicians must have "mo qi" and they can weave in and out of the main theme. ha ha, jazz fan spking :)

wat u 3 have--the "mo qi", frdship, talents, is a great gift. feel vy humbled when i see these kinds of r/s

weiqi strikes one as vy creative, vy IT (posting pixs, converse contests, playing keybd) and am i right to say he's the glue in som ways since he's into all genres(while sam is into shuiqing and u into rock)?

u say you r mor loud, but on stage, waiting 4 results, u seem vy still, vy quiet waters. yet it's tru u more loud, extrovert, that's y you r blogging more than weiqi (weiqi, i m sure u have access to pc so y r u not blogging :) [sam's in camp so got excuse :(

thks 4 sharing abt goshen. yep, i guess yr shifu finds cooking more stable than makg music.

he's currently busy with his biz n job...so wif that trust..he left us to do wad we feel is rite..coz he taught us how to fish..not gav us a fish...so we use all we learnt from him...plus wad we picked up along the way...then whenever he's free he'll drop by practice..we'ld seek his approval...eg for bu xiang zhang da...the funk part at the beginning...all thanks to him if not we cant smoke it off! coz funk not realli "in" us..haha...so he instilled his thoughts on how to funk it up..

he's a great shifu...noes when to let go...noes when to discipline...when to pull...we can nvr surpass his music talents...he is proud of us...but we wanna do better...to make the mani yrs of his efforts worth while

Then contestants have to deal with stress, fan attention, superardent fans(like in the case of campussuperstars so one mom has to fetch her to school), fame etc. Vic Chou (F4), it seems, has always been supershy and didnt like the attention and wanted to quit.
