To Shuhui, regarding the logo at the corner the answer is a 'yes' and a 'no', because yes I came up with it together with my friend Gareth, but then the final look of the logo is not my decision. And anonymous is correct to say that I'm not involved in the artwork. I 'was' working on it till a certain point only.
I hope everyone here can continue to support the album whether or not I was involved in the artwork, because the music is the MAIN thing! oki? :D

met some of the girls for dinner today. & when i reached there, i gan chiong-ly asked: "You guys got go see whether there's baby here a not?". then Syl told me: ".. just now we went to see, but they left 1 baby only." i was totally sian diao to the lowest point. then PC says: "Okay, can take out alr." & YES! they passed me the baby(s) & say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY":D i was s.shocked/ happy/ high. *speechless* so sweet larh, i really got the baby as my birthday present.. aww, thanks ttm girls, ♥(s).

got the baby today! kiasu ppl like us had to stand outside the store and wait for it to open. haha! opened e album n got a shock when we saw the face on the left. oops sorry sam! just didnt expect your face to pop out all of a sudden. :p but the pictures are really nice. :)
anyway, i really like this album. i dont have a better word to describe it so let's just use BOOMZ for now. :D alot of favourite songs and most favourite has to be yin shi nan nu! so super nice! pin chang n wan wei are nice too! love the clapping!

Both are having clearance sales. New releases are NOT available at both the stores.

i went to sembawang at ps yesterday and i realised that it was clearance as well, and i heard from others that the other sembawang closed down alr :/ so i guess sembawang wouldnt carry the new babies

just curious, has anyone seen any advertisement or form of media coverage for the boys regarding the 3rd album? seems to be very quiet. this is worrying becoz it is the same reason why their 2nd album didn't do well. and the album is out already le but many of my friends don even know. i think mlb always very poor thing, got talent but no coverage.

Track 4...flaunting a lot sound synesthesia ya...FLAUNT!
Track 5...this is something which i always wanna say...rock ballade...the accompanied of piano and drums v impt to create the climate..thought nic shld buck up bowel stamina to handle this track...good combination with crescendo piano and drums at the end..vocals sound better at the end ...benchmark Andy Hui canto, 让爱, a good one, the drums and piano combination is superb!..can't find good audio on youtube though.. track 5 can be a good one to try on live for a concert showcase..
Tack 7..opening a bit Jason Miraz..I thought some bossa harmonise at the background may make it less lonely..sam solo thruout is a bit blend..guitar duet is great though..
Track 8...It's rhapsody, the essence is ALL, Mixtures..hence the clapping, cheering, whistles..but the 2nd interval didn't have much cheers to cheer on..it could be more voices...make it a Mardi Gras? A Brazilian dance carnival?
i thought it's more like a series of dramas, plays, black & white movies, loud musical broadways element other than food.
this need awhile to chew, but the tracks bring visuals..

actually the main concern for an album always lies in the investors. More investors equates to many people "talking". In this scenario, a product normally ends up with many visions of the same theme.
A music producer, musician/singers, song writers.. they may differ when bores down to working on the same subject matter.. esp when a album has the majority of songs written by other people. tends to lose a bit of control..which needs the producer's verification to give the green light. Who knows that some artists may want to have a small part of their work in this album as well..? Other Songwriters esp..looking for collaborations.
When a video director comes in, the interpretation varies there again. The visual, another most important element, will it tally with the music and theme? Genres play a part too..
And there goes of course, the art directors, and the make-up artist, wardrobe designers, etc.. The investors, the ones paying definitely are poking their fingers into this pie..
So in the end.. the arts makers are always restricted in some sense that there's really not much say to control the whole album in terms of fashion, colour schemes, appearance and who to work with.
The only thing they have in control is their music.. and that's where they can do their best.
The rest.. it's up to those players in the industry.. it's a bit tricky..
at the end of the story..
it's about who's has the biggest say. So, the final product in the album has to find the right producer to get an overall the cohesive theme.
For me, packaging and MTVs are always a bonus.. and I think nowadays people are too caught up with visual splendors. It's an endless pursue.
If music is the core subject, an album with its title and simple 3 photographs will do.. the magic is in the songs itself.. :)
I guess simplicity still works.. that's how ppl in the 80s get their album sold out. even Jim Brickman in simple outfit sells his stuffs..

well, we mlbians support mlb for you guy's effort in giving us good music, not bcuz u guys decorate good album covers. if u guys decorated it, its a bonus to us, showing us ur talent in art, but even if u didnt, the main point isnt there. the main point is the good music that is brought to us. anw i do like the album covers, so thrs nothing that u cant do about.
SO, dont get too upset by the dispute over the album cover. umm, sam's face is really nice there anyway. so is nic and sam's photo on the other 2 pages. dont worry abt us nt liking it ! we all love it to every bits ;)
and for the tracks, i like the mixture in this album, in food terms, its like serving up a dish with 'suan tian ku la' , different genre , different dish served up. it does proves that mlb can make it no matter what genre it falls in ! mlb is multi talented, thats smthing everyone can see. mlb continue to jia you !
Insomniac, I totally agree with you. There are always so many concerns when doing a production like this. So many people involved, so many different visions and directions. At the end, what you see, the album cover, the packaging, even the way the music sounds, all depends on who has the final say.
My heart goes out to the 3 guys, who have put in so much effort, time, sweat and tears to produce something that they believe represents who they are and speaks not just to themselves, but to all their fans out there. It's a pity that such talent is not well recognised and well publicized, when it should be! How many artistes nowadays can compose, arrange and produce their own songs! And we all know the other talents that MLB has, not just in singing and composing, but in art, beatboxing etc. When I watched them on TV, performing at the SHA, I was so proud that I was supporting a band that could perform just as well LIVE!
As their avid supporter, I'm grateful that at least the songs (tracks 1 - 8) are composed by them, arranged by them, sung and played by them. I guess that's the most we can hope for right now, till a better platform comes along and the guys can really take the entire production into their own hands and really show the world what they've got! Despite the lack of publicity (and it really pains me that this is the case), it is heartening to see that the guys have not given up. They have continued to strive and give their best to all who listen to their music and to all who believe so strongly in them. I'm sure that they must always have their supporters in mind as they work on their music.
As for the way the album looks, the pics and the overall concept, I shall not comment too much. Is packaging more important than substance? No doubt we live in an era that places a lot of emphasis on appearance and packaging, I think we must not forget that the band we are supporting is a band with SUBSTANCE, and REAL TECHNICAL ABILITY. MILUBING, I SALUTE YOU FOR THAT! Stay true to who you are as a band.

as for me, i've got nothing much to comment on 3rd baby. all i can say is, its cuteprettynice. LOLOL:) because i love every single track, love the cool logo, love the over-ly perfect pictures(though its srsly over-ly perfect), love all those orange in colour sentences after every single lyrics(meaningful). just love it to bits:) it does filled my hungry-ness!

The live performances are just as WOW, no frills, just pure heart and talent. I've been a supporter since superband days, crazy at home but very mia at events. I liked the third album, not because of the packaging but because i can hear the sincerity in the songs sung. I think its a more well put together album compared to the previous two, and i guess the band really matured a lot. Its like telling a story through tracks 1-8, feeding us with rich visuals, carrying us through many different emotions. And funny thing is now my favourite songs are 饮食男女 and 冷晚餐. Although i didnt really liked them or pay a lot of attention to them in the beginning, its kind of a freaky thing when the songs have that ability to creep into my head and set themselves on repeat, over and over. That to me is catchy, I love the album, its very satisfying listening to it.
Oh yah, my friends and i were abit 'angry'at how the third album was treated in stores, they had a hard time finding the album when it was actually sandwiched between the other albums. They only displayed the side of the album, and as we know the album quite slim, REALLY CANNOT SEE LA. They took the remaining three albums and positioned it somewhere where its more visible, and with the cover facing front, cannot waste the artwork mah. That store is really very irritating..

专辑买了，音乐听了，回味无穷。
这张专辑好像藏了很多宝，都是惊喜。[esp track 7, my fav!]
特别的是，这是我第一次看到，听到，这以饮食主题为材的专辑；很喜欢里面一首首不同风格的故事。
唯一不喜欢的是，多余的bonus tracks，就好像跟这张专辑很不blend。
总的来说，没有失望，还是会被你们的音乐感动到。

虽然专辑已经品尝了一遍又一遍，但还是需要时间慢慢的消化，才能摄取他丰富而富有价值的营养。=D

Though the publicity and 'fame quotient' not that good yet, I have faith in the band! You guys are redefining Mandopop music with every single one of your amazing albums. And I believe that someday, MLB will make it as big as S.H.E! Though it may take a long time, I am nothing but certain that they will get there some day. (:
